Yeah and that's not even all of them. Mom has ALWAYS made sure the tree is chock full of ornaments. And it is...even though we still have one crate full of ones we didn't use, plus some floating around the storage unit we didn't touch. :blink:

1, 2 and 5 are the hardest for me. But it's fun trying.

Luckily we have little to no leftovers at Christmas. We don't cook nearly as much then as we do at Thanksgiving.

But for graduation my brother bought me a new laptop. It's just taken me a few months to find my way back here. But here I am!!! You all may now dance a happy jig to celebrate my return. Hahaha :lol:

Thanks for getting back to me, y'all! I'll check out the link you posted, login, but I'm pretty sure my system is clean. Every scan I've done comes back perfect now. But it can't hurt to do a few others just to be absolutely sure. Sad to see Spyware Hell is gone. It was a great resource. Derek, I can't even click on "properties". All that's available are "disable" and "search online", and of course the latter produces no results. After I double check the cleanliness of my system I will try disabling it should it still be there. Thanks!

Not that this will matter in the least, but I have a new laptop that runs Win 8 and...well...I hate it. Don't like the navigation. Dislike the "apps". If I want apps I'll play with my tablet. I never touched Win 7 so I don't know how it compares. All in all, XP still has my heart. If I could put it on this thing I would. Call me crazy...because I know I am...but it was easier to use.

I wasn't sure where to put this so I apologize if this is the wrong section. I had to go into my Task Manager/Start Up tab to make sure some malicious software wasn't loading at start up since I'd ended up with a few bad bugs the other night. I ran Malware Bytes, Super Anti-Spyware and Avast and all looks good. But I have this thing listed in my Start Up tab in the Task Manager that says NA. Now, I'm not sure how long it's been there since I never went into the Task Manager before this (I've only had this laptop a few months) so it may be something old for all I know. But my question is, how safe do you think it is to disable this NA thing from running at Start Up? I mean, if it were something absolutely required it would be listed as something other than NA, correct?

Winapp - not sure Ubunutu is the right choice. lol My bro took the computer for me in hopes that I could use it for school. The coding programs I have to install are probably going to piss of my current desktop (its very picky) so he was hoping this would work for me. And I don't think Ubunutu is a supported format for my programs. haha So I reeeeaaallly need to try to gain access to Windows. Hi Dennis! Yes school is good! I'm enjoying it. Yeah I have no idea how to do that. lol I was able to remove the passwords/unlock the usernames with an ISO I found but still can't do anything. The autofilled login name wasn't even on the list of usernames that came up. So I'm stumped. The guy who gave my brother the computer said he'd look for the log book for it because it would have the info we need, but he said it most likely got tossed back when they upgraded everything and phased out the old system. So unless someone comes to my rescue, I'm afraid I have a Dell paperweight. lol But anyway, aside from having an insane sinus infection, I'm good. Finally...after Lord knows how long of trying...I got myself enrolled in school. So I'm studying Medical Coding/Billing. It's been good so far, but so far it's just been anatomy and diseases and such. In about 6 weeks we start the actual coding and billing stuff. Hopefully i can do it. How have you been?

My brother got an old computer from work. We booted it up and we cannot log onto Windows. It prompts for a username (which is auto-filled), password and domain (also auto-filled). It happens even in safe mode. This system has been sitting in a back room for a good 2 or 3 years so no one knows the info that's needed. Is there any way to remove this mess without having to install XP? We have no clean install disks and obviously have no recovery disk for it...

My aunt and uncle live in New Jersey and after 3 days of no word from them, we finally heard from them today. They are still without power, have a tree down on their property and need a new roof due to some big tree limbs falling on their roof. They said it was awful and that they are freezing. But at least they are ok!

I am on the fence about it all. Yes I agree its suspicious that theyve already disposed of his body...to the sea no less. Its also suspicious that the first reports were that he had been killed last week and that DNA tests already proved it was him and then later they said it had just happened and that they were sending his DNA out for testing but they were positive it was him. Do I think it was a ploy by Obama to help boost popularity? Hard to say, but I wouldnt put it past him considering his popularity is diminishing and this is just the thing needed to boost it back up. But like CC1 said, he would have waited another year to help his chances at being re-elected...unless he has something else up his sleeve...which again I wouldnt put past him. Am I happy this tyrant is gone? Yes. Its one more idiot we dont need hanging about anymore. But its also put us in a bad position as far as more attacks go and something major is bound to happen. The question, though, is when?

Oh I'll backup everything, don't worry. I can't afford to have everything go kaput on me. lol
