Humpty
Damn, and I always dreamt of owning it as a kid. Beam me up Scotty. Quote: The first auction of official Star Trek memorabilia hit warp speed when a model of the science fiction franchise's Starship Enterprise sold for more than $A770,000. The sale has helped drive the total for the three-day Christie's auction in New York above $A9.5 million, twice the expected takings. More than 1,000 items from the five Star Trek TV shows and 10 movies on offer have found buyers. Article
Moderators Andavari Posted October 12, 2006 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2006 It's of no surprise that the items sold at a lofty price! Star Trek is awesome and I really didn't start watching it allot until SpikeTV starting airing re-runs of The Next Generation then later on Deep Space 9, and absolutely fell in love with it including Voyager. I only wish we had the technology to build a real Starship Enterprise.

Woody
I've heard Star Wars described as "Wagner for the under eights" It is never difficult to distinguish between a Scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine. P. G. Wodehouse
Humpty
Do you remember the first television series of Star Trek way before any movies were made. Voyages to other solar systems and discovering different life forms which fascinated me as a very young fellow. Not like the movies of Star Trek and Star Wars. Good versus evil with good always triumphant.Boring stuff! 2001 - A Space Odyssey and Contact are my type of movies and mind food.
fredvries
Starship Enterprise sold for more than $A770,000. I heard a rumor that it was bought by a Klingon. 'Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam', they said when leaving the building.

zaphirer
Firefly/Serenity is probably the best Sci-Fi/Action/any other genre of show I've ever seen. Stargate SG-1 is a close second. Season 1-6, that is. Star Wars third. Star Trek... fourth?

zaphirer
For me it would be Battlestar Galactica (the new series)! BSG isn't too bad, wish they would stop with the drama stuff though. I want to see things blow up! Haven't seen Firefly/Serenity and Battlestar Galactica though. Rent a copy of Serenity. NOW
