1984
I think the forums need more catagories to simplify finding things. I also think the forum could use another knowledgeable moderator or two to assist in the process. What i would find personally very useful is how to guides on various processes and projects. these keep people coming back. as well, the freeware list needs to go through and clean up with everything combined (maybe with user ratings attached. otherwise everything and everyone is pretty good here. this is my favourite forum. TheFiresInTheSky
i agree. 2 mods just isnt enough to keep up with this place! i think guides would go good so one person doesnt have to keep telling ppl how to do tasks (for example scan computer with programs then post logs)
Moderators rridgely Posted May 12, 2006 Moderators Share Posted May 12, 2006 Well aaron we have that one undercontrol http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=3505 (its pinned under the HJT section) The annalyzing part has to be done by a person though. If you can think of more guides that are needed I'll see what I can do. The thing is that most of these things can be found in depth somewhere else on the net with pictures and all. I might be able to start a topic and put links to various sites about how to do various things. That could work... Most people think this forum is a lot more user friendly because of the small number of catagories.
Moderators hazelnut Posted May 12, 2006 Moderators Share Posted May 12, 2006 Most people think this forum is a lot more user friendly because of the small number of catagories. I would agree with that rridgely. The only other catagory that I would even think of suggesting would be a "How To" section. How to repair permissions ( a quick note on the signs that you need to do this) How to upload images. How to completely uninstall Norton and Macafee (with links to the clean uninstall tools) and other often occuring subjects. I feel like I'm giving the same instructions 10 times a day sometimes. There are some things that definitely need to be pinned. Plus the Beginners Guide seriously needs to be updated. And it's my favorite forum too. i agree. 2 mods just isnt enough to keep up with this place! 2 mods? there is only one.... Moderators hazelnut Posted May 12, 2006 Moderators Share Posted May 12, 2006 well then does mr G count? I suppose you could say he was chief mod. as it's his program! However in the running of the actually forums he's not counted as a mod. in the strictest sense of the word.
