MultiBana
Hey, I recently got a malware that opens some russian website (nextbestgame.org) on startup. So to remove it i wanted to use CCleaner, so I downloaded it and installed but when I click on it, just nothing happens - doesn't open, doesn't show in the processes and I don't get any error or message. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. Can anyone please help me?
Moderators hazelnut Posted May 28, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2015 Ccleaner is not a malware removal tool. See rule 10 here for sites which will help you clean up your pc. login123
here 3 free anti-malware programs perhaps one for you. . . MultiBana, looks like you have malware. I'm not an expert, could be wrong. But whatever else you do, go to one of the sites linked by hazelnut (post #2) and get your machine checked. The softwares linked by trium are good, but you need reassurance from an expert. No offense meant to trium. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
Moderators mta Posted May 28, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2015 It could be as bad as malware or as easy as your home page has been hijacked but as Rule 10 says, we can't give any advice. So sorry @trium but we have to bite our tongues. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
