CC 4.04 ruined Firefox 22 display

I installed and ran CC 4.04. After that, my Firefox 22 wouldn't display many websites correctly, I restored using the reg file saved after installing v 4.03 but that didn't fix the Firefox problem.

As an example I'm atttaching screen shots of the sfgate.com home page as displayed by my Firefox and also by IE. Some sites, like google news, seem to be OK with Firefox. Facebook is "destroyed" similar to the sfgate page.

Hi mwr,

We haven't been able to reproduce this problem.

Can you please give us more details of the steps to reproduce this problem?

Like for example, the set of Rules under Firefox section that you have checked for cleaning.

Have you run Registry cleaning?

Thanks

MrT

sounds like ff is not completely closed during cleaning and corrupting the cache database. can you look in the processes tab in task manager and see if firefox exits properly before a clean.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Thanks. Yes, I had run Registry cleaning. In the Firefox section rules, Internet Cache, Download History, and Session are checked.

I fixed the problem by resetting Firefox back to its original settings. Then I re-ran CC 4.04 and Firefox is still OK.

Next question :-) I had clicked "Follow this topic" (right now, "Unfollow this topic" is displayed), but got no notification that your replies were posted above. Should I have received an email after you posted replies?

if you Edit My Profile, in the Notification Options you can change how you would like to be notified.

Backup now & backup often.

Some people have posted about that feature not working, as in:

* Not getting notifications.

* Not being able to stop notifications when they're unwanted.
