redhawk
Terms and Conditions for those who haven't read them yet: 5. Personal Data Any personal information collected by AVAST from the Participants in order to conduct this promotion ("Personal Data") may, for this purpose, be disclosed to third parties, including but not limited to, agents, contractors, service providers, offer suppliers and regulatory authorities. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you give AVAST your explicit, informed and free consent to use, unless and until otherwise advised by you in writing, your Personal Data for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages containing marketing offers. I don't think I'll be bothering somehow. Richard S.

Moderators Andavari Posted December 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2010 Nothing is ever really truly "free," there's always something. That's usually the course when signing up commercial version giveaways, usually in the form of getting email offers/adverts which can easily be opted out of or blocked. That and if you install it they can garner info anyway such as IP address, etc., and possibly other info if having to submit detected items.
