Pierredonat
My computer is running on Windows XP Professionnal, Service Pack 2. I want to delete a Folder but Windows indicates that it cannot delete the folder because there is a missing file (CAS9MNC5) in the folder. This file is unknown to me and I don't have any idea on how it got in this folder. If I use Windows Explorer to look into that folder (including hidden files), the folder appears to be empty. If I look at the Folder Properties, it shows: size 0 bites / containing 1 file. I have used the Dos command "RMDIR" with no success. I have run CCleaner with no success. Any suggestion on what I can do to resolve this issue.
CTskifreak
Welcome to the Forums. Unlocker Try this out. CCleaner doesn't have this ability built in. Unlocker is designed to handle this type of error. AJ

CTskifreak
You're very welcome - and Aethec is right - no reason to not have updated to SP3 for XP. AJ
Moderators Nergal Posted May 4, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2010 I love unlocker it's AWESOME (and now can be portable too ) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators hazelnut Posted May 4, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2010 LockHunter does http://www.askvg.com/lockhunter-yet-another-free-file-unlocker/ or you could just use Process Explorer and use the 'find handle' feature to find out what program has a 'hold' on a file.
