Moderators rridgely Posted July 15, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 15, 2005 It has come to my attention that many of you cant spell (this includes me). Well I had heard of this cool little program that runs in the background and checks your spelling. I decided to check it out and love it. If you cant spell and do not want a tool bar clogging up your screen try this program. ( This program runs in the back ground but it takes up very little memory). Moderators Andavari Posted July 15, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 15, 2005 Cool, no more opening MS Word to check spelling. This deserves to be listed in the pinned freeware section.
Moderators rridgely Posted July 15, 2005 Author Moderators Share Posted July 15, 2005 No, but I'm glad it doesn't because some words are not going to be in its dictionary (The good thing is you can add to its dictionary). It makes a beep sound and the icon in the task bar turns yellow. You can then right click on it and it will give you a list of options of what the word is, then you click on it and it puts the word in whatever your typing. Moderators Andavari Posted July 15, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 15, 2005 does it correct it automatically?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just tested it using metapad, and it didn't. However just right click the systray icon, then choose 'Open spelling window' to input words you may think are incorrect and it will give suggestions. Hmm, whilst typing this info in the systray icon changed colours, needs more investigating to find out if it does offer real-time suggestions. gunner
(This is not meant to be serious} Can't is a contraction of can not, and background is one word. Did the program check this post? If it isn't broke, tweak it.

Moderators Andavari Posted July 17, 2005 Moderators Share Posted July 17, 2005 One would think that Invision Power Board would implement an automatted spell checker.
