  2. I am thinking of doing a bit of clean up with Winapp2 by taking some of those old entries for programs that have been discontinued and even the Windows Me* entry out of Winapp2 file and maybe moving them to a separate file called old entries or something. This will offer reduce file size on the main Winapp2 file (which will also help speed up trim.bat) who don't use those old programs anymore and if you still want them, you can add them back anytime. This won't have any relation to the removed entries file on GitHub. Thoughts on this?
  3. Updated: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/778c4567bf5041120e8d8ee5ca5683159259ef31 By the way, you don't need \| at the end of a directory. I assume you put it their by mistake, though, so I took it out.
  4. Yes, I realized that a little too late. Sorry. Anyways, if you want a entry added/updated, you are better off doing it yourself.
  5. I have only been updating the # of entries as new entries arrive in Winapp2 (also the # of removed entries in the non-CCleaner version). I am not sure what Robert wants to do with the version number scheme. Maybe we might just remove it our of Winapp2 or change it to it's own update scheme (since it previously followed CCleaner, but now since it's seperated...).
  6. They look good to me, but you don't need to post a text file showing us what it cleans. Also, just post the entries here and anyone who uses it will say if it is good or not. Not like anyone who doesn't use it is going to know what it does anyways.

  8. Updated. https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/c3410b99b7dedf1bb4e1cdd551cff268b4d66f1d
  9. I am viewing them in Wordpad and Notepad++, and I don't see the wall of text there, so I think this is more of a notepad issue. @Nergal: Well, I don't have editing permissions here, so I can't do it, lol. The only maintainers there are is Winapp2 and me. Also, the link you sent is for Git, which I don't use that.
  10. Yes, it can be a bit confusing, but once you get use to it, it's actually not that bad. It is only the highlighted stuff that you need to look at. The way GitHub works, is that it will show you what was changed, plus an extra 3 lines above the changes and 3 lines down. What you are seeing is where it got cut, which is why there was a line in between them, so they look like that.
  11. We agreed not to clean registry backups anymore. Can you please take out all the FileKeys that have registry backups in them and re-post this. Also, [Outlook Appointment Location MRU*] was renamed to [Outlook Appointment Location*], upon request here: https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&p=275690
  12. @JDPower: [Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate*] was removed due to it being added to CCleaner, upon request here: https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=283&do=findComment&comment=275583 Can you please tell me which entry you are seeing Xilisoft FileKeys in (also make sure you are looking at the one on GitHub and not here, as I stated in my previous post).
  13. Ok, may I say a few things to everyone, to avoid future confusion. 1. Please make sure that you are looking at the Winapp2 file on GitHub and NOT the one here, because the one on GitHub is more updated then this one (actually I don't know if he still plans on publishing them here anymore). 2. Please do not post entries twice, meaning don't post here and on GitHub. Just post on one or the other and Winapp2 or I will get to it eventually. If we missed it, then just throw us a friendly reminder. 3. Please continue to show the modifications you do for each modified entry (like show which FileKey was corrected) and make sure to give the reason why a entry should be removed (like it was added to CCleaner or duplicated somewhere, etc). Thank you everyone for your understanding (I am really showing my tech support/moderator side, huh).
  14. Updated. New additions over the past 10 days were added here: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/ce8dc52f37c14d9a0a406b253c103072babd1011 Please let me know if I missed anything or made a mistake somewhere.
  15. Usually stuff in the Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ directory isn't anything useful in there. I don't know about the other ones you have. A user suggested on the GitHub page to make another winapp2 with more advanced/aggressive entries, however, I don't know if it will happen
  16. Added here: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/2c68d96d59be9943c17ea9005f56d81f6d51b288
  17. It is the default path for the 64-bit location. If you move it from (x86) to the 64-bit directory for program files, it will, by default, rename it to that instead.
  18. Not my FileKeys. How about this: Modified entry: [Samsung Magician Logs*] LangSecRef=3021 Detect1=HKLM\Software\Samsung Magician Detect2=HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Samsung Magician Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\Program Files*\Samsung\Samsung Magician|*.log;*.txt|RECURSE FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\Program Files*\Samsung\Samsung Magician\Logs|*.* FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\Samsung Magician\Logs|*.* FileKey4=%ProgramFiles%\Samsung\Samsung Magician|*.log;*.txt|RECURSE FileKey5=%ProgramFiles%\Samsung\Samsung Magician\Logs|*.* Added FileKey 3. Removed one the detects as it is not needed. By the way, @Siliconman01, did you write this entry? I just ask cause I see you have 2 Samsung SSDs and I am not aware of any logs being located outside the log folder (AKA FileKey4).
  19. .NET v4.6.2 is backwards compatible all the way to v4.0. If you want/need .NET v3.5 or anything under, you will need to install .NET v3.5, then. There's actually still quite a bit of software that use .NET still.
  20. Modifed entry: [OpenRA Logs*] Section=Games DetectFile=%Documents%\OpenRA Default=False FileKey1=%Documents%\OpenRA\Logs|*.* Renamed and removed replays and warning from this entry. New entry: [OpenRA Replays] Section=Games Warning=This will remove all of your Replays. DetectFile=%Documents%\OpenRA Default=False FileKey1=%Documents%\OpenRA\Replays|*.*|RECURSE Moved replays to this entry. It's better to keep these in separate entries, in case people want to keep replays, but don't care about the log files. New entry: [starCraft II Misc*] Section=Games Detect1=HKCU\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Editor Detect2=HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Default=False Warning=This will delete all of your image uploads, replays, and screenshots. FileKey1=%Documents%\StarCraft II\ImageUploads|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%Documents%\StarCraft II\Replays|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%Documents%\StarCraft II\Screenshots|*.*|RECURSE
  21. On second thought, do this entry for Starcraft 2 Logs instead. Modified entries: [starCraft II Logs*] Section=Games Detect1=HKCU\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Detect2=HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Default=False FileKey1=%Documents%\StarCraft II\EditorLogs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%Documents%\StarCraft II\GameLogs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%Documents%\StarCraft II\UserLogs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\Program Files*\Starcraft II\Logs|*.* FileKey5=%ProgramFiles%\Starcraft II\Logs|*.* Added FileKey1, removed entry %SystemDrive%\Starcraft II\Logs|*.* and removed entry %Public%\games\Starcraft II\Logs|*.*
  22. New entries: [steam Dumps*] Section=Games Detect=HKCU\Software\Valve\Steam Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Steam\dumps|*.* [samsung Magician Backup*] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Samsung Magician Default=False FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Samsung\Backup|*.* [samsung Magician Logs*] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Samsung Magician Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Samsung Magician\Logs|*.*
  23. Modified entries: [starCraft II Logs*] Section=Games Detect1=HKCU\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Detect2=HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Default=False FileKey1=%Documents%\StarCraft II\EditorLogs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%Documents%\StarCraft II\GameLogs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%Documents%\StarCraft II\UserLogs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\Program Files*\Starcraft II\Logs|*.* FileKey5=%ProgramFiles%\Starcraft II\Logs|*.* FileKey6=%Public%\games\Starcraft II\Logs|*.* Added FileKey1 and removed entry %SystemDrive%\Starcraft II\Logs|*.* [battle.net*] Section=Games Detect=HKCU\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net Default=False FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net|*.log|RECURSE FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Agent\Agent.*\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Agent\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Setup\*\Logs|*.* FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Telemetry|*.* FileKey6=%CommonAppData%\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache|*.*|REMOVESELF FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.Net\Cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\Blizzard Entertainment\System Survey|log.txt FileKey9=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Battle.net|*.log|RECURSE FileKey10=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Agent.*\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey11=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey12=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache|*.*|REMOVESELF RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Authenticator Added FileKey5 [steam Logs*] Section=Games Detect=HKCU\Software\Valve\Steam Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\SteamVR\Logs|*.*|REMOVESELF FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Steam|*.log;*log.last;connection_log_*.txt;*_log.txt;remote_connections.txt;vr*_*.txt|RECURSE FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\Steam\logs|*.* FileKey4=%ProgramFiles%\Steam\vr\runtime\logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\Program Files*\Steam|*.log;*log.last;connection_log_*.txt;*_log.txt;remote_connections.txt;vr*_*.txt|RECURSE Added FileKey3.
  24. Can you post a change log up for the last update so we can see what got added and removed, etc?
  25. Nice. Starred and have it set to watch.
