The most i've used those three was to open the app to see what they were. 5. My original goal was to make individual ones. Kind of got stuck on which ones to group and what to call the Entries... then it got out of control with 22 FileKeys
  6. 7. In 32bit Windows 8 Top: Speccy showing 20mins for "Turn Off Monitor After" Middle: Edit Power plan set to 10mins Bottom: Advanced Power Settings set to 10mins edit: on a windows7 laptop it also shows times for items that are disabled. Example: 5mins for turn off hard disk and 20mins for sleep when sleep is disabled
  8. Modified added filekeys 5-13 Tested and working for me. But would like some others with win8 to also test. I'm sure there's more hidden... DetectFile=%AppData%\Microsoft\Sticky Notes Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Microsoft\Sticky Notes|*.snt FileKey2=%UserProfile%\Searches|Sticky Notes (Windows Sticky Notes).searchconnector-ms edit: Thought cleaning FileKey2 would stop EventViewer from reporting a search warning for sticky notes, turns out it's located in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Search\ProcessedSearchRoots\0004 But I don't think that key would be the same for everyone
  10. Modified Entry Changed from REMOVESELF to RECURSE [.Thumbnails*] LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile=%UserProfile%\.Thumbnails Default=False FileKey1=%UserProfile%\.Thumbnails|*.*|RECURSE
  11. With the Internet Explorer More* entry it has a couple FileKeys that clean the CryptnetUrlCache folders One would assume those can also be cleaned for the Apps? I've tested cleaning them for the Mail, Weather, Bing, Sports, News. They all fuction normally after cleaning. 12. Store didn't have any complaints, no errors in the event log, none of my settings for the store changed. I was able to install and uninstall apps without any issues.
  13. Tested removing this whole folder \cache\ and it all rebuilds for me FileKey4=%localappdata%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Microsoft\Windows Store\Cache|*.*|REMOVESELF also thanks Nergal for mentioning regshot. That works A lot faster then what I was using
  14. If you delete the ccleaner.ini file ccleaner will reset itself. Or you could go to Options > Advanced and click restore default settings. Although you will have to go thru and re-check your items/settings afterwards.
  15. It's no longer slow for me. Skip UAC was already set, And after fiddling with Win8 UAC I've gone back to it's default settings even though the alerts annoy me. In my post http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=37082&view=findpost&p=224230 after setting the UAC back to default it now cleans everything again.
  16. In Windows 8 cleaning Defender Updates makes defender think it's defintions are outdated. Also Win8 Defender seems to overwrite old defintions [Windows Defender Definition Updates*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender Default=False FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates|*.*|RECURSE
  17. These entries can still be cleaned on win8. Did saad mean rename or change the detect?
  18. Agreed. It also locks out some stuff from being cleaned, one example is CBS logs from winapp2.ini Even running ccleaner as admin it skips it. I completely disabled UAC via the Local Group Policy Editor and everything was cleaned that wasn't getting cleaned before. Downside to completely disabling UAC in the policy editor is you are completely locked out of using apps until you re-enable UAC.
  19. When I get the "Defrag has been aborted" message, In my case because I forgot to exclude restore points and hibernation. The Boot Time Defrag options reset to disabled, But boot time defrag still happens. Is it a bug that it disables after that message? Or is the bug that it still boot time defrags after it disables it?
  20. I got close to 60mpg with my old '94 Geo Metro. Was a great little car if you didn't want to go up any hills or want saftey features. Here's a 80mpg car for you all. The Peel p-50
  21. New Entry Needs DetectOS for Win8 (would it be DetectOS=7.0?) This resets the naming of screenshots back to screenshot (1).png [Windows 8 ScreenShot Index*] DetectOS=6.2 LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Default=False Warning=This Resets Screenshot Naming Back To "Screenshot (1).png" RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer|ScreenshotIndex In Windows8 pressing Windows Key + Print Screen takes a full desktop screenshot and saves them in C:\Users\"username"\Pictures\Screenshots They'll continue to be named (1), (2), (3), etc. until this regkey is cleaned. Tested and even if a screenshot is in the folder it will skip over that number. edit: added DetectOS=6.2 for win8
  22. Updated AVG2013 entry I think hope I found all the hiding places they moved the logs to [AVG AntiVirus 2013*] ID=2313 LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\AVG\AVG2013 Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\AVG2013\log|*.log FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\AVG2013\log|*.log.* FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\AVG2013\temp|*.tmp FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\Log|history.xml FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\SetupBackup|*.* FileKey6=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\IDS\config|*List.zip.bak FileKey7=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\IDS\profile|globalLoadable.bak FileKey8=%ProgramFiles%\AVG\AVG2013|updatecomps.bak FileKey9=%ProgramFiles%\AVG\AVG2013|*.old FileKey10=%WinDir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Avg2013\log|*.log FileKey11=%WinDir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Avg2013\log|*.log.* Edit: added two more filekeys 2 + 11
  23. It was two different folders. But I'm not seeing the update\backup folder at all for AVG2013 . Looks like the update backups are stored in the SetupBackup folder now. Edit: I didn't pay much attention to AVG2013 files, was used to 2011 and 2012 all using the same locations but it looks like they moved a few things around tracked them all down they moved the log and temp folders to %LocalAppData% and removed two folders: scanlogs & Emc [AVG AntiVirus 2013*] ID=2313 LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\AVG\AVG2013 Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\AVG2013\log|*.log FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\AVG2013\temp|*.tmp FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\Log|history.xml FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\SetupBackup|*.* FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\IDS\config|*List.zip.bak FileKey6=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\IDS\profile|globalLoadable.bak FileKey7=%ProgramFiles%\AVG\AVG2013|updatecomps.bak FileKey8=%ProgramFiles%\AVG\AVG2013|*.old
