  1. Might as well share what I use to update too.. save as .bat and place in your /ccleaner folder https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Coffee4Joe/Update-Winapp2/master/Update-Winapp2.bat you can add the contents of trim.bat on the bottom so it updates and trims.
  2. That's just a side effect of it using UTC time and Windows using LocalTime. https://mikebeach.org/2011/04/10/windows-linux-dual-boot-system-time-issues/ Probably easier to set Mint to use LocalTime.
  3. Will the Version # continue to be updated with each update?
  4. Having an issue with something in [Coranta*] on Windows 10 Anniversary Update.. After cleaning Cortana* the start menu search will only find programs if I type in the full program name: firefox.exe, powershell.exe, notepad.exe etc. If I type just the first couple letters I only get results for Documents and Settings. I can duplicate it by: Cleaning [Cortana*], restart explorer.exe in task manager (or reboot), then searching. To fix broken search I use this powershell script: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} I do have Cortana turned off in Group Policy. Having it on seems to temporary break it but it automatically fixes itself.
  5. Thanks for the update.. Also, Welcome back.
  6. For all the self maintainers these should be all the new entries, edits and removals since that last update. https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=271&do=findComment&comment=271094 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=270&do=findComment&comment=271093 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=273&do=findComment&comment=271809 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=273&do=findComment&comment=271884 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=273&do=findComment&comment=271885 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=273&do=findComment&comment=271982 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=273&do=findComment&comment=271983 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=273&do=findComment&comment=272015 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272016 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272051 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272186 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272190 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272199 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272200 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272201 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272203 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=274&do=findComment&comment=272206 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272307 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272336 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272396 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272580 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272581 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272617 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272621 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272622 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=275&do=findComment&comment=272623 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272624 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272641 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272682 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272694 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272698 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272702 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272844 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272845 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=276&do=findComment&comment=272924 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=277&do=findComment&comment=273084 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=277&do=findComment&comment=273090 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=278&do=findComment&comment=273524 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=278&do=findComment&comment=273698 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=278&do=findComment&comment=273802 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=278&do=findComment&comment=273878 https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=279&do=findComment&comment=274019
  7. I think this was missed in the last update http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=266&do=findComment&comment=269247
  8. This works. Sure solves the issue with DetectOS too.
  9. Something went wonky. One pc no [store*] showed up, the other two [store*] and two [Cortana*]. But changing it to these seemed to solve it at least for my machines. Changed [store*] to [store - Windows (version)*] [Store - Windows 8*] DetectOS=6.2| Section=3031 Detect=HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\SystemAppData\WinStore_cw5n1h2txyewy Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\AppCache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\INetCache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\INetCookies|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\INetHistory|*.*|RECURSE FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Microsoft\CLR_v4.0\UsageLogs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey6=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache\Content|*.* FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache\MetaData|*.* FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\DOMStore|*.*|RECURSE FileKey9=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Microsoft\Windows Store\Cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey10=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Microsoft\Windows Store\Data|history.dat FileKey11=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\PRICache|*.* FileKey12=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\AC\Temp|*.* FileKey13=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\LocalState\Cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey14=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\LocalState\LiveTile|*.*|RECURSE FileKey15=%LocalAppData%\Packages\WinStore_*\LocalState\navigationHistory|*.*|RECURSE FileKey16=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows Store\Cache Medium IL|*.*|RECURSE FileKey17=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows Store\Cache|*.*|RECURSE RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\SystemAppData\WinStore_cw5n1h2txyewy\SearchHistory [Store - Windows 10*] DetectOS=10.0| Section=3031 Default=False Detect=HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\SystemAppData\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\AC\INetCache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\AC\INetCookies|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\AC\INetHistory|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\AC\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache\Content|*.*|RECURSE FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\AC\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache\MetaData|*.*|RECURSE FileKey6=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\AC\Temp|*.*|RECURSE FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\AC\TokenBroker\Cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\LocalCache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey9=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\LocalState\Cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey10=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_*\TempState|*.*|RECURSE
  10. I tried with both [store*]'s, the one you posted and the one already in winapp2.ini. Only the new one showed. So at least they are separate.. But it might need a rename so a duplicate finder doesn't remove one. This works! I was fiddling with the the FileKey so that explains why I couldn't get it.
  11. Added FileKey9 [Skype Temporary Files*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\Skype Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Skype\DbTemp|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%AppData%\Skype|*.tmp|RECURSE FileKey3=%AppData%\Skype\|*.db-journal|RECURSE FileKey4=%AppData%\Skype\*\simcache|*.* FileKey5=%AppData%\Skype\*\httpfe|*.* FileKey6=%AppData%\Skype\*\ecache|*.* FileKey7=%AppData%\Skype\DataRv|*.* FileKey8=%AppData%\Skype\*\media_messaging\media_cache|*.* FileKey9=%AppData%\Skype\*\media_messaging\media_cache*|*.* FileKey10=%AppData%\Skype\*\media_messaging\storage_db\asyncdb\tmp|*.* FileKey11=%AppData%\Skype\*\media_messaging\media_cache\asyncdb\tmp|*.* FileKey12=%AppData%\Skype\*\qikdb\tmp|*.* FileKey13=%AppData%\Skype\*\logs|*.* FileKey14=%UserProfile%\Tracing\WPPMedia\*.*|RECURSE
  12. I tested DetectOS=10.0 without the pipe | and it worked for me. Then tested DetectOS=11 and it didn't show on 10. Also tried 10.1-10.9, only the 10.0 one appeared. I can't seem to find a explanation on what the pipe does. What I thought it did didn't work. I see 4 different uses between winapp2.ini and winapp.ini (6.3 for example) DetectOS=6.3 DetectOS=6.3|6.3 DetectOS=|6.3 DetectOS=6.3|
  13. those DetectOS's should work fine. They show on 10 but not 8/8.1.
  14. I think it's related to [Notification Cache*]
  15. Added RegKey4 [SketchUp Make*] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\SketchUp Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\SketchUp\SketchUp *\SketchUp|~*.tmp RegKey1=HKCU\Software\SketchUp\SketchUp 2013\Recent File List RegKey2=HKCU\Software\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\Recent File List RegKey3=HKCU\Software\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\Recent File List RegKey4=HKCU\Software\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\Recent File List
  16. I sure know how to wake up a thread Does anyone want to see if they can reproduce these steps that cause the app crash. On Win10 the error log for Bing Weather gave me 0x803e0102 which pointed me to this article . Didn't really give an answer but it pointed me to try cleaning [Notification Cache*] and [bing Weather*] together. After a reboot Weather app will close immediately after launching. If it does crash here's the powershell command to fix it. (Run as admin) Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
  17. Sorry if I triggered a new post alert, I thought I was onto something with fixing [bing Weather*] but it flopped completely so I removed it.
  18. Tested [bing Weather*] with ExcludeKey1=FILE|%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.BingWeather_*\AC\*\|container.dat It seemed to fix the issues with app auto closing on launch, but Keeping Container.dat broke the map section. Edit: Still crashes after rebooting. Tried expanding away from the Weather entry to exclude container.dat in [Feeds Cache*] and [internet Explorer*] with no luck Edit2: experiment was a bust.
  19. I just noticed it now has thunderbird support. wohoo!
  20. I've had no issues with ublock origin. I didn't really pay attention to all the eDrama surrounding it but stuck with origin because gorhill was the original creator.
  21. Did excluding Container.dat from hulu stop the crashes? I had this for Bing Weather* "ExcludeKey1=FILE|%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.BingWeather_*\AC\*\|container.dat" But it still ends up crashing.
  22. Bleachbit for the more agressive stuff, I tried it with winapp2 off and the weather app didn't break. I can't figure out if it's caused by cleaning the app entry or a combanation of things. Been using RegShot once it breaks then running the powershell command to see what is restored.
  23. I've been trying to figure this out too. Every time I try to reproduce it, it will stop working randomly which makes it hard to pin point. Was thinking it might be the container.dat files
  24. In that folder I have: NotificationUx.001.etl - NotificationUx.010.etl NotificationUxBroker.001.etl - NotificationUxBroker.100.etl UpdateSessionOrchestration.001.etl - UpdateSessionOrchestration.080.etl UpdateUx.001.etl - UpdateUx.032.etl If they don't go any higher then those they might just write over themselves.
  25. Added FileKey2 [PowerShell Cache*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\Software\Microsoft\PowerShell Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell\CommandAnalysis|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell\PSReadline|*.*|RECURSE
