  2. Just want to know, How to kill or prevent WLIDSVCM & WLIDSVC running after win start / logon ?

If I kill through Win Task Mgr, they'll appear and running again after booting/starting ?

    ccd1a643291454.gif

    They eat my RAM.

    Thank in advance

  3. Just recently started having a problem CheckDisk -- specifically the component checking for bad sectors (I assume that's the old ScanDisk program). It seems to run fine through the end of Phase 2 (I don't know how many phases there are). Then, I get this error message: "Windows was unable to complete the disk check."

Any thoughts or suggestions?? Wondering if there could be some "Services" dependencies that aren't active or properly set?

    >Open CMD.exe

    >Type chkntfs /d > restart

    >Type chkdsk /f > restart

It should be OK after all this steps.Or You can go to Rec Console and type chdsk C: /r

    Backup your data first.

  4. Hello hello :)

Tuneup Utilities 2008 is not freeware so I would consider other options if I were you. If you really want a complete utility package program then perhaps have a look at Advanced System Care Free - Advanced System Care - It seems that some people like it and others do not so you would have to form your own opinion. But, one great thing...it's free ;)

Another very good alternative, which I prefer as do many others, is to use a number of freeware products which will often accomplish PC tuneup and maintenance more effectively than a packaged utility program.

hello, you're off on the right foot in the land of computers just by joining this forum.

    1stCCleaner

    2ndAdvancedSystemCare , IMO.

Razz, Maybe Hello got TuneUp Utilities 2008 for free, cause it's old version. New version is available /2009.

  5. First, what version RF currently are you using ? Free or Pro version ? what OS are you using ?

If you have already created a number of password-protected passcards, you can remove password protection from them by going to RF toolbar (in FF) ->option -> security -> clicking Set Master Password,Mass Protect/Unprotect ->check Remove Master Password -> OK

I use RoboForm2Go / portable version and no problem at all.

  6. Hi & Thanks

I've tried everything from updating drivers to running SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarbytes, posting HijackThis logs on forums, to changing speakers, to things in device manager etc & nothing!

My sounds are ok when playing WMP files, & in Windows messenger, just online like YouTube, BBC Iplayer, etc, nothing! I get no sounds from Windows either like startup or shutdown, new devices or email notification!!

I'm running Windows XP Pro, Version 2002, Service pack 3.

I noticed my sound issue start when i downloaded a lot of Microsoft updates (around 60) as i was unaware being a novice that updating was off!!

I have ERUNT, but am thinking if anything happens where i can't access Windows, how do i restore my registry?

Should i save my Registry backup to a USB stick & go from there? & if i only have BIOS, how do i restore?

How do i restore using ERUNT.?

    Thanks

    To restore, look into This

  7. I'm very pleased to announce that the latest version of my program A-Z Freeware Launcher (AZFL) has been listed on several download sites - most notably Softpedia and CNET. In fact, the Software Review Editor from Softpedia has just completed his review of AZFL.

    Review of AZFL on Softpedia

AZFL v3.0 has several changes from v2.0 - they are as follows:

    - new skin

    - six new programs are supported, for a total of 50 programs. Now avast, Avira and AVG anti-virus programs are supported

    - SUPERAnti-Spyware has been replaced with a-squared Anti-Malware

    - additional programs and new layout on what was the "More Links" page. This page is now "More PC and Personal Tools"

    - new font on all buttons

    - some text has been altered

For many years I have been (and I always will be) a big fan of Freeware products. Being a big fan lead me to CCleaner and thereby to this forum, becoming a member in August last year. Many Piriform moderators and many members have been instrumental in introducing me to so many top-notch freeware products. It is thanks to you guys and gals that I now utilize so many great products, many of them just simply amazing. It was because of having such a number of these products installed on my PC that I decided to create AZFL, just to simplify things for myself and my wife. During the creation of the program I decided that I may as well make it available to anyone who also may find it useful. I sincerely hope that some may.

I just want to very briefly mention about my company Unity-Creations. We formed the first edition of our company just before our days on eBay in 2001 (at that time we were UnityCreations2000). Over time we are proud to say that on eBay we have 131 positive feedbacks and zero negative feedbacks. Our eBay days have mostly passed and now our time is spent elsewhere in cyberspace. :)
