Hi
I have read some review on Advanced System Care Free 3.1.2 /Iobit.
Did anyone had a good/bad experience with this program?
Thanks

Since I updated to Sandboxie 3.34 a few days ago, for some reason, I've been experiencing quite a few FireFox 2 annoyances (incomplete page loads, longer than usual delays, freezing up, etc.). Not totally sure this is due to the update, but it sure seems like it could be. Maybe there's just some sort of incompatibility thing with my machine.
Is it possible to "downdate" to a previous version? I don't really recall having any of these problems with v 3.32. Just wondered if I could just try re-installing 3.32 over the top of 3.34?
I suggest you post your question in their forum, they may help you:

Possible, or physical files on the hard disk. On one particular occasion I noticed it listing a bunch of stuff that had nothing to do with the uninstalled application, hence the reason I no longer use it.
Couldn`t the very same happen while cleanning the registry with ccleaner? meaning : deleting reg keys that are used by some other programs.

Heed the advice of the post by DennisD when using Revo Uninstaller, you really need to look at the list of what it will be removing before committing to it.
Is there a chance that using Revo Uninstaller in the advanced mode, while cheking the registry keys suggested by the program to be deleted, I may be deleting some registry key that is also used by another program?
Thanks

If you have allot of plugins that can be a cause.
Here's a very helpful search:
Hi Andavari
I applied several tips from your link and it works like a charm.
I also got rid of some unused/non practical + suspected memory leak addons.
I`m down to about 50-80MB RAM, with 2-4 tabs opened and 17 ad dons.
Thank you again

Hi
Do any of you FF users, know if the memory leak bug in IE tab add on is fixed?
My reference:

I do not know whether the info in this site is frequently updated , any how, I did not find any other opposite statement or update relating to this issue.
Thanks

Today I "upgraded" from FF 2.20 to FF 3.5 and guess what ? I`m on 150MB RAM, with one tab in use!!!!!!!!!!!!! with no "special demands from browser!!!!" (about 70-80 MB difference).
Did any of you experienced such an "elevating" experience?
Thanks

Hi
Is there any substantial improvement in FF 3.5 that would be worthwhile for me to upgrade from version 2.0.0.20 or is it sill more like a degrade?
Thanks

On another site, I read that some were having trouble with FireFox loading more slowly with this new release of Sandboxie. Has anyone here experienced this?
FF always loads slower with sandboxie, didn`t see any difference with this specific version.

If you haven't ever defrag your registry, I would defrag that 4%.
After that, you don't basicly have to defrag, unless you remove a lot of stuff from the registry (uninstall a lot of apps, and so on). Some registry entries wil leave more and bigger gaps than others. Registry defrag programs removes those gaps left by removed registry entries and that way compacting the registry.
Edit: This is very important when using registry defrag programs; Reboot your computer right away after defragging, because other wise the registry might get corrupted.
Thank you CeeCee.

With only 4% I myself wouldn't even bother because it won't be long for the registry to go back to that level.
Thanks again Andavari.

I go by their recommendation. If the registry is at 2% fragmentation I've found their statement to be true that it isn't necessary to "optimize" it. The registry is typically always going to be at least at 1% or 2% fragmentation!
It isn't the type of tool you'd run all the time either, so it may only need to be used once or twice per year. Strangely I've noticed on two occasions over the years where Windows XP seemingly optimized the registry all on its own and greatly reduced the registry filesize well beyond all the "free registry defrag programs" floating about.
Thanks for your reply. I have 4% fragmentation, I wonder if there is any point on defragmenting if there is only 2% difference between their recommendation, and the actual state of my registry.
It is messing with my registry that I`m afraid of, specially if there is a questionable gain from this action in my case.

Free Registry Defrag is trustworthy freeware! The only problem it has is some uncorrected spelling that's been in a few versions.
Hi Andavari
From your experience with this product, from what defragmentation percentage will it be convenient for me to defrag the registry?
Thanks

I think I`ll get over this minor bug...

CeeCee said:There's similar program than NTREGOPT, called Free Registry Defrag.
With Free Registry Defrag you can also Analyze registry before optimizing. It's great feature, because you don't have to optimize, if there's no need for that.
Hi CeeCee ,sorry for the delay (I got the link to the thread only today) .
Sounds like a good program, assuming the users reviews at CNET are trust worthy.
Got it, gonna try it.
Thanks

have you tried rebooting after applying the fix?
Nope ,I did not. Did not see any requirements to do so, are there ?
Thanks

Hi
Right after I cleaned all the registry issues (with CCleaner) , several keep showing again if I analyze the registry again right after. Can anyone enlighten me on this please?
Thanks

Good for you. That is probably all you need anyhow.
From my experience so far Defraggler does a good job positioning files.
And you know it is fast.
I have not had any conflicts but I avoid conflict in the first place.
I won't run Defraggler with any other "defrag" or maintenance program running. I am surprised to find that some users do this.
Guess they just haven't enough experience, not to do this. This is the same reason that I don't use any autostart of any programs except security updates.
I have Defraggler, Windows Disk Defragmenter and JkDefrag but I would never run 2 at one time.
I have never "lost" any data from any defragmenting using any of these.

Hi Davey
Thank you for reply,of course it did not even cross my mind to work with two different defraggers at the same time, my question was based on the fact that different defraggers use different algorithms
and therefore a possible conflict. I also do not use any auto start programs except security programs.

Hi
I would like to know if there is any conflict using defraggler with other defraggers.
I intend to use defraggler only for file defragments .
Thanks

Thanks for your reply. As far as I recall, in CCleaner itself you have to be aware to uncheck the Yahoo toolbar option, otherwise you are going to have it installed, so is there much of a difference ?
