  1. Windows 7 looks awesome! Too bad I missed the beta + beta activation key giveaway from Microsoft.
  2. I only have the NET. Framework 1 installed because it came installed default with my PC. So just decided to leave it on there, just in case I uninstall it and it screws something up. I haven't had any programs need NET. Framework 2 or 3 other than the FileHippo update checker.
  3. It's just an EXE file? I thought you had to install it. Hm... This changes everything. Oh wait... They have a link to the standalone version in their download page? I've never seen that link before. Thanks Dennis!
  4. Thanks for the upload + link Andavari. Works great!
  5. Are there any portable update checkers that are good, like FileHippo's Update Checker, except that it's portable?
  6. Andavari, by any chance could you upload your SiteAdvisor XPI? I find WOT way too annoying, so I uninstalled it today.
  7. I think I have the correct drivers installed. Anyway, I'm getting myself a new flat screen 22 inch monitor this Saturday.
  8. Yep, that's what I'm thinking about doing too. Plus, I don't like CRV's at all; too bulky and too fat. I think I'm going to get a new flatscreen in a few weeks. Thanks for the help Hazel!
  9. Thanks for the link Hazel, but that doesn't help much. My monitor refresh rate is already pretty low by default, 60 Hertz, but it doesn't cause any flickers. The article says the noise is caused if the refresh rate is too high, and that doesn't apply to me. My monitor is 15 inch by the way.
  10. They're both pretty good, but I'm using WOT right now since I don't want to install SiteAdvisor. They used to have SiteAdvisor as a FF extension, but for some reason it's gone now, so I'm using WOT.
  11. It's a CRV Compaq FS7600 (Yes I still have a bulky CRV; I've never had the need for a flatscreen yet because this monitor has been perfectly good other than the noise.)
  12. Nice link acooldozen! Plain and simple like kmillerusaf said.
  13. This is a really annoying problem I've had for some time. Most of the time when I play a game in full screen, my monitor starts making a really high pitched noise that is VERY annoying to the ears. I've looked around for solutions on google, and most of them said to increase or decrease the monitor's refresh rate, but when I go to do that, my monitor only has 1 refresh rate, and there are no options to change it. Any help on fixing this problem would be awesome. One tiny note: On one of the games that I play, called CounterStrike 2D, I start getting the noise when someone throws a flashbang and the whole screen goes white for a few seconds.
  14. Lol, that was funny! I had some fun trying this out on some of my friends.
  15. Well, with a 3|1 vote, I'm going to be sticking with MS Office.
  16. Kmillerusaf, can you tell me where you get your Pidgin Portable? I haven't been able to find one yet.
  17. What is it like? Have you had any problems? Does it correctly open, save, edit Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files? Is it fully compatible with MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files?
  18. Should I switch to OpenOffice? I really don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on Office 2007, so what do you guys think? Should I switch?
  19. You should always have some kinds of backup for your computer. I learned about not having a backup the hard way (reinstallation of whole system).
  20. Well, here goes: Note: I only have the IE icon on my desktop because it makes my desktop look cooler. I actually use FF, and I do not (and never will) use IE.
  21. Ooooo... Diamonds? Can you get me some? I think I can use them to sharpen my teeth.
