  1. No, I think Dennis just means it's the forum "rules" that decide it, such as 50 for power member etc.

I guess it's just a sort of recognition for people who stick around the forum and contribute towards the atmosphere etc.

  2. Just been reading about a free emulator to run dos games and applications in called DosBox. It fools any dos software into thinking it is running in dos.

    http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1

The FAQ's and downloads are at the top of the page.

Also available and recommended is D-Fend which stores your setting when you use the DosBox, this is available under the tools section of the downloads.

  3. After looking it up perhaps I could have used a better choice of words :)

: CLEAN AS A WHISTLE - "One possibility is that the old simile describes the whistling sound of a sword as it swishes through the air to decapitate someone, and an early 19th century quotation does suggest this connection: 'A first rate shot.(his) head taken off as clean as a whistle.'

  4. This is as everyone is saying a false positive. I have just downloaded latest defs 5 mins ago, I have avira , no warning from it, even if I open CCleaner in prog files.

Also to give out this info, I have just recieved a reply from the email I sent to Bitdefender who reported the same Trojan Zlob in CCleaner uninstaller....

Thank you for your interest in our BitDefender security solution.

We apologies for any inconvenience and we are glad to inform you that the

false positive you reported has been fixed.

    Best regards,

  5. 1. Open My Computer.

    2. Right click each hard disk(s) or hard disk partitions one at a time

    and select 'Properties'

    3. Next click 'Tools' and under 'Error checking' click 'Check Now...'

    4. In 'Check disk options' select 'Automatically fix file system errors'

    5. Click Start

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each hard disk(s) or hard disk partitions.

Windows will ask for a restart when scanning C drive, so perhaps do it last, and restart as soon as possible after.
