  1. I think it's your printer Dennis, also I found this which may be of interest to you.

    Wowexec.exe (Windows on Windows subsystem) and Ntvdm.exe (NT Virtual DOS

    Machine) are used to run 16-bit programs (DOS programs) in a virtual

    environment. If they are being used you will see the programs indented

    under the Ntvdm.exe entry in the Task Manager. Ntvdm.exe and

    Wowexec.exe will remain in memory after you close the 16-bit

    application, "in case" you want to launch another 16-bit program. If

    these items are started when you boot the computer, but no associated

    program is shown under them, check your startup items, some 16-bit

    program is set to start and do something when the computer starts. That

    "16-bit something" could be anything.

  2. Hello Dolly and welcome to the forum

    Could you please write in normal size font please, it looks as though you are shouting. :)

    Here is a link to the beginners guide, if you have a read it will answer quite a few questions for you.

    http://www.internetrotsyourbrain.com/ccleanerbeginnersguide/

    Basically there are 2 parts, the cleaning of temp files etc, and the issues cleaning (this bit asks you if you want to make a backup before you do it.)

    You press the analyse button and it will show you what files it is cleaning up and then you press run cleaner, and it cleans them up.

    The issues cleaning is about cleaning up old entries from the registry which are no longer needed (this is the bit that offers you a choice of making a backup. If you do it will be saved it my documents and if you need to restore it just right click on it and choose merge.)

    Any way Dolly give the above a read, and then give it a run.

  3. I opened the sandboxie gui and clicked configuration, edit configuration.

    I entered

    openFilePath=C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\opera6.adr

    openfilepath=C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\wand.dat

    to save my passwords and any new favourites and then clicked reload configuration.

    Yes it is a bit complicated, the faq's on it here are not what you call easy to understand.

  4. Just saying how I use it Craig.

    I use opera and always right click run opera sandboxed whenever online. (IE7 is still my default)

    When you are on these forums, you are on the internet, and as Humpty said, Sandboxie is a great firstline defence.

    Yes it's okay to delete the contents, if you have downloaded anything while online, it will ask if you want to recover it. As I download to my desktop I always say recover to same folder after highlighting the folder to recover, and it then appears on my desktop.

  5. Some instructions that may help you do a screenshot of your problem...

    Take a screenshot of your screen by pressing the PrtScrn button once (to the right of the F12 button)

    Do start, all programs, accessories, paint.

    Do edit, paste. Then file, save as file type jpeg or png (important,) and name it something you will remember and save it in my documents or my pics, where you will find it.

    Then go here

    http://www.imageshack.us/

    Press the upload button and browse to where your file is on your computer and click open.

    Then click host it! When it gets to the next page, (can take a minute) click once in the second line down to highlight it, and then right-click on it and choose copy.

    At the forum in your post, right-click and choose paste, then press the add reply button. You won’t be able to see the picture just the address until you post your reply.
