  1. I use a hosts file, I don't see a single ad.

I will say it again, CCleaner is free in the sense that no money is required from you in order to run the program.

I do not begrudge the CCleaner owners the right to try and raise revenue in order to provide me, and you, and every other user with a free program.

  2. As I don't use eraser so I have no idea as to why this happens to you.

As you got no answers from the other forums I was just trying to get some ideas for you to work with based on the 2 things that you mentioned that were in the folder Random junk things you called them.

One was refered to in a link from google as being part of windows blinds, the other, msaatext.dll, I think refers to this

    What were the others?

Or you could try reinstalling eraser to see what happens then.

  3. Brown sugar, it may be an idea for you to ask a few question at the OA forums, answers are quick

A discussion on the free version can be found here

I use the paid version and in advanced it has lots of features (apart from ease of use!) One which isn't mentioned much is 'run safer'. You can apply this to what you will and it does the same as DropMyRights. This feature is also available in the free version

I can also import blacklists, block by country etc etc.

I like it a lot, but I'm a bit biased as I've been beta testing it.

  4. Ishan, please in future just give a link to the page that shows all the info you copy and paste into your post.

It's just taking up space, if people want to know about a program they will use your link.
