Have a read here
http://www.internetrotsyourbrain.com/ccleanerbeginnersguide/
Don't used the advanced section til you know a bit more about how CCleaner works.
CCleaner is a very safe registry cleaner compared to some out there
-
It may be an idea for you to read the guide here
http://www.internetrotsyourbrain.com/ccleanerbeginnersguide/
also do not tick anything in the advanced section until you are more used to the program.
If you have lost something important due to trying out different options, try system restore to get them back.

Dennis, being a sci-fi book fan I have read quite a few of David gemmell's books.... a sad loss.
I have just finished The Tawny Man trilogy by Robin Hobb and can recommend it.
-
I have just renewed mine slowday, as they made me an offer of a really low price for another year. This app causes my system no problems and updates itself no problem so I'm keeping it.
-
CT, I think you will like Space Time, it's fun.
-
It's a good site all round that Humpty.
Apart from the info on the browsers which should tempt folk to have a go of something different, there is also some good reading from links on the right (as well as wallpaper!)
EDIT..
Been using Sleipnir the Japanese browser for a couple of hours now, it's not bad at all. The only problem I had at install was the Gecko and trident engine, my system didn't want it, but it didn't matter as that is for you to use Firefox and IE with it, and I don't use Firefox so it didn't matter.
All in all I like it.

Have a look here on Kelly's Korner, the one that says why can't I download updates
-
A fair bit of info here Craig, with plenty of options

Here is a very interesting thread about online yahoo mail, firefox noscript extention and another user profile on the computer.

Sorry Titano, I cannot quite make out all the words, i think I saw something like...
to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access
which could be caused by many things.
Are there any clues in the windows event viewer? (control panel>admin tools>event viewer)

Also if you go into c/program files and look for the program you want to uninstall, open the folder and there is usually an uninstaller for it for you to use from there.
Sometimes it's easier to uninstall it that way in safe mode, less conflicts.
-
I also use Online Armor and CCleaner but I don't have the problem you have Titano.
-
Online Armor is what I use as well 1984.
It's good.
-
Go into safe mode and uninstall CCleaner from there.
-
Make sure the backup file has .reg after it.

See here

Please keep this subject in one thread please

I have asked MrG, the CCleaner developer, if he is aware of this problem.
-
This dll seems to be connected to firefox.
It looks like it's a cause of frustration for lots of people

For Returnil users out there
http://www.returnilvirtualsystem.com/index...rvs2008beta.htm
EDIT
Developer recommends uninstalling old version first to give beta a go.
-
It's only polite to share Davey, I like them as well
-
Do you have the newest version 2.03.532?
This is supposed to fix that problem.
-
I think that is true CeeCee.
There are quite afew listed here
http://www.malwarehelp.org/online_anti_virus_scanners.html
If you look on the left side under online scanners, tools can show things also about you such as
http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/aboutyou.ch
http://centralops.net/asp/co/BrowserMirror.vbs.asp
Some people are not aware of what can be found out about you online.
A list of online scanners and tools are handy things to know about.
