I did a lot of research and couldn't find a easy way to do it. Check the net for XP Visual Styles. If you are hardcore, you can use Stylebuilder to make your own custom Start Panel or you can check out some of the Visual Styles other people have made that have compact Start Panels. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Can you post a screenshot of what you have now so we can compare the before and after? Standard?....Classic?

Right-click Start > Properties, on Start Menu click Customize and set Number of Programs on Start Menu to 0. Click the Advanced tab and you can deal with the other Start Menu shortcuts, like My Pictures and My Music. If you still have shortcuts to OE and IE, just right-click each one and Remove from list.

You may have hit on the problem. GeForce 5500 card should be pulling around 42watts. Add that to 60-100watts for your CPU, 20-30watts for your Optical drive, 25watts for hard drive, and 10watts for each stick of memory. That can leave you a little sort.

While in Device Manager, go to Properties on each drive and check Device Usage to be sure they are enabled.

Download Tweak UI and you can pick any letter you want for your drives, from A to Z. Such as Drive:F...Drive:U...Drive:C...........well..you get the idea.

Did you use a download accelerator to download the game? If so, this may have caused a corrupt file. Try downloading the game again without the accelerator and install it over the installed game. Here's another thought. Did you download direct from Popcap or from a 3rd party like Pogo or MSN? A 3rd party game my have been altered slightly from the one on Popcap's site and this may have screwed the uninstall file. If this is the case, I'd download direct from Popcap, reinstall and then try to uninstall it. If this doesn't work, try writing Popcap a nasty e-mail.

I wanted to see how long it would take him to screw it up. Took about 2 days. Seems he decided to clean the dust out of the tower and pulled a fan out so he could blow it off. It was the CPU fan and the processor came with it. He called me and said it wouldn't boot up. I didn't have time to look at it so took it to a repair shop. When he stuck the CPU back in, he bent some of the pins. The guy at the shop charged him $35 to fix it.

Yep...been there. My brother bought a HP at a yardsale for $40 US. The seller thought it was trashed cause it ran so slow you could eat lunch waiting for a program to open. It had so much garbage in it that I reformatted it from the partition and now it runs like a new one. 2 Gig processor, DVD-Rom+CD-RW, and 60Gig hard drive for 40 bucks........I could just kill him.

A couple of weeks ago, my sister was bitchin' about her computer running slow. I downloaded CCleaner and ran it. I thought the thing had locked up cause it was taking so long. It finally finished. 10 minutes and 26 seconds with 750+Mb of crap deleted. This has gotta be a new record. She'll never learn.LOL

I recently used a Dell XP Pro CD to reformat a old HP that was running ME. When I clicked on the button to activate XP, it went on line and activated without asking for a serial number, product ID, drivers license, birth certificate or anything.
