    WEB 2.0

WEB 2.0, what web sites are classed as WEB 2.0 sites? How do you tell if you are visiting one of these "new generation" WEB 2.0 sites? How long is a piece of string? just joking lol. I looked up WEB 2.0 on "wikipedia" to try and find some answers , I think I know all there is to know about it now Please don't ask me to explain... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web2.0

  4. Once again thanks Andavari , I've put Verbatim DVD's on my shopping list Glenn said he sets his burner at the lowest speed., is that the normal thing to do with DVD's?
  5. I have had the option "unchecked" for about 6 cleaning sessions with "CCleaner" and have had no problems

Windows Error Messages are almost as funny as "Funniest Home Video's" TV show

  9. Hi Andavari The only brand I have used is "Verbatim" and never had a problem with them.
  10. Hi guys Just wondering if it's necessary to let windows keep the contents of Temp Folders for 48 hour's?, is this just a safeguard?
  11. Hi jimkroger If you haven't already, download and read CCleaner's "Beginners Guide" it has some useful info.
  12. Thanks for the link Glenn , some very useful information. Obviously any type of disk can in cure some degree of damage over time. I just might give the DVD's a try
  13. Hi Glenn & Andavari I was under the assumption that CD/RW's were more physically durable than DVD/RW's, and CD/RW's have less errors? I think I'm going to stay with CD/RW's, better the devil you know
  14. Thanks for the info Andaravi This is what I found. Files that have been created and or modified since installing SpyBot S&D 1.5 on: 7/September/2007 hosts 175KB File hosts 1KB BACKUP File hosts 175KB BACKUP File Do newer backup files replace "over write" old ones? or does the file just keep getting bigger?
  15. Hi The Odds Yes I was thinking about getting "Command & Conquer", at the moment it's a free download from my ISP You obviously know about the free offer Thanks for the links
  16. Hi Andavari About "HOSTS file" were can you find it to check how big it is?
  17. Hi all , I'm not sure if this post should be in the Software Forum or Hardware Forum, so here it is in the Lounge OK so I want to backup about 1.5GB of picture files. The way I see it I have two choices. 1: Use two CD-RW's 2: Use one DVD-RW What is the best way? I want the best quality copies. I've used CD-RW's plenty of times, however I've never used a DVD-RW All helpful advice is appreciated
  18. Hi all I need some information "definitions" on these types of files: GDI & NOD Thanks in advance
  19. Hi Dennis Like you' I'm looking for a Image share type of site. I've just been checking out Photo Bucket & Tiny Pic, Photo bucket seems to run a bit smoother "quicker". I'm still undecided I don't think it matters what "free" Image hosting site we choose to use, there are still going to be adds.

  22. Well done Dennis I tried it too, and it can be done!
  23. Hi Andavari I agree 100% However if you do find an offensive picture on FreeShare.us, you have the option to report it. Even desktop wallpaper sites have some degree of adult content "soft porn".
  24. The things some people will do lol, the dog looks really pi$$ed off.
