  1. Don't do it.

When I win the Lottery, I'll give you a job. I'll dictate, and you can type my posts.

If you win the lottery, I won't have to work. You can just send me an allowance. LOL

Mind you, I'll have to open a Piriform office in your neck of the woods, even though dragging myself away from our lovely UK climate would be a bit of a wrench.

    :)

Oh totally. Who would want to trade that for Florida weather? Not me, that's for sure. :P:D

  2. Yeah I consulted with a few other people and they all agreed as well that it's a scam of sorts. I have heard of work at home ventures where you need to buy certain things (like some medical transcription jobs require a foot pedal and headset that YOU have to pay for, Mary Kay and Avon require you purchase their start up kit, etc), so I was hoping this was sort of the same thing. But when he wouldn't give me his business name and location/phone number, I figured something was fishy. I never would have given out personal info without researching everything first, so no problem there. Thanks again you guys. You all solidified what I knew in my gut. :)

  3. lol thanks.

I guess what had originally thrown me off was that the person actually replied back to me. Most of the scams I've encountered usually end up with no reply-back from the other person, since I do tend to ask a lot of questions when being contacted about a job. But oh well, I'll find something eventually. Funny part is that kind of job is perfect for me...especially since I just got a new printer for Christmas.

  4. I kinda figured it was a scam. In his original email he said he owned his own private accounting firm and then went into detail as to what I'd need and be doing. When I emailed him back asking for it's location and what the business name is, well, you saw what he replied with.

Ah oh well. I knew it was too good to be true. Thanks for replying you guys. :)

  5. Ok someone read my resume online and replied with a work at home job as a personal assistant. Sounded good so I asked him some more questions. This is what he replied to me with. Do guys think this is legitimate?

  6. That's exactly why I won't be shopping tomorrow. Well that and the fact I'm broke. LOL Nah I wouldn't be going anyway. I avoid stores like the plague right after Christmas. The crazy shoppers scare me.

  7. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Agreed. I don't know about you guys, but I'm pooped. lol

Nice tree LuLu, it sparkles like your pretty blue eyes. B)

Awww how sweet. Thank you. :D

  8. I would never even think of selling a class or even more a ring my team and I killed ourselves to get.

Now 2008 SB and 2007 WS rings for sale? I wonder if these "younger" people will ever look back and regret it?

......long after the money is gone.

I actually wasn't surprised people all over the world were buying them up.

Me neither. I mean if you have the money, do it. You can get twice as much as you paid for it later on. But still, to sell something like that. Something that showed your hard work paid off. Something that only a handful of people ever get. You can't part with that...or at least I couldn't.

  9. And oh yes, you need some North Shore action! Do it. ;)

Oh how I wish!!! You have no idea how much I wish. lol Maybe once I get a new job and can save up enough money I'll get to do it. I know the wait will be worth it.

(I had a neighbor kid who lived there......but recently moved to Colorado. A cousin lived there.....moved to Virginia. <_< ) I'd go back in a NY minute!

Haha I don't blame you! Why anyone would give that up for Colorado or Virgina or anywhere else here for that matter is beyond me.

  10. That's some crazy stuff. If I ever had anything as prestigous as an Olympic medal or a championship ring, I sure as heck wouldn't sell it. I may consider it if I'm down on my luck and out of money, but still, I don't think I could part with something that took so many years of hard work and dedication to achieve.

  11. Surfing Forum? Well you sure find out a lot on this thread!

Not much surfing in OHIO but I did surf in beautiful Hawai'i.

Oh yeah, total surfer girl here. Back in the day I had joined up on quite a few surfing forums. Even moderated/admin'ed a few of them.

I am so jealous that you've surfed in Hawaii. <_< I want to surf there, Costa Rica and Tahiti. And they do too have surfing in Ohio. It's called snowboarding.

  12. Isn't that from that Corona advertisement?

    (I know, the irony.)

LOL actually I have no idea. I found it on Webshots a few years ago. But it definitely looks like a Corona ad, just minus the bottles of Corona.
