chas521
For some reason, cookies [either to be saved or deleted] are not showing up in my Ccleaner. I do have some sites that I want the cookie to be saved so I don't have to be constantly signing in. What's the story?
Moderators hazelnut Posted January 24, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2014 You really need to give more info such as what operating system you use, which version of CCleaner you have installed. Have you used CCleaner before or is it a new install? What is your main browser? When you run ccleaner does it show other things to be cleaned aside from the cookies? kroozer
What's the story? . . . . it's not our fault. We're here to help. Long ago I solved this issue by unticking ☐cookies in the Windows and Applications tabs. Eventually cookies will appear in the Cookies on Computer column. Move desired cookies to the keep column. Return to the Windows and Applications tabs and right-click ☐cookies and clean. CCleaner 4.09.4471, Vista x86, Win7 x64
chas521
I've been using Ccleaner for years now. It does a great job. I've never had this problem before. I think I know what I'm doing. I've tried a couple of new versions now, Free [used to show cookies that I could move], thought that might a problem now so am using business and still the same. OS: Vista Home Premium. Browser is current FF.
Moderators mta Posted January 24, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2014 giving version numbers may be helpful. FF? CC? Vista? simply saying current isn't as helpful as it might sound. chas521
FF: 26.0 CC: Business: 4.09.4471 and 4.10 Free but not at same time. Both are not installed at one time. Vista Home Premium Cookies to keep:: *piriform.com, google.com, yahoo.com Cookies on left are only three inconsequential ones. Others I want to keep are not showing up at all so I could move them like I used to.
Moderators Andavari Posted January 25, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2014 What other cookies? Do note some cookies could be from Adobe Flash Player such as for online games, and if you're losing cookies such as that you'd also have to untick Adobe Flash Player in CCleaner. They don't show because (most likely) you've not fully exited firefox and killed any orphaned firefox processes before running ccleaner ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. chas521
Cookies don't show no matter what I do. Something changed somewhere but I didn't change anything.
kroozer
Cookies don't show no matter what I do . . . I didn't change anything. CC: Business: 4.09.4471 . . . You paid for business support. Have you contacted Piriform? Each license covers 1 PC for 12 months' support . . . -- http://www.piriform.com/business/ccleaner-business-edition And try a clean reinstall -- it's fixed a stubbornly broken CC for me and others. chas521
I could contact support but I thought that I would try here first to see if someone else had that problem. Did they?
