DVD to raw video

Is it possible to convert dvd to raw video? My friend gave me a dvd video with a menu. I want to get the raw footage from only 2 of the videos on the dvd. Is that possible? Would the easiest way be to use a screen recorder?

I need to get this done asap. Thanks all ;)

dvdshrink wouldn't work. shrinkto5 mcaffee said installed spyware. I tried it anyways and it created video_ts and audio_ts folders. can i convert those to just one .avi file, even if the dvd has a menu on it?

I have been using that program forever, but just in case I scanned it with AVG AS, AVG AV, and uploaded it to virus total.

I don't know if you installed something different than what I have, but it shouldn't have any spyware. Also, why are you using mcafee? Yuck. :P

-------

Anyway, when you open up the file in shrinkto5 you just uncheck the boxes for the stuff you don't want.

I just tried it to make sure, and I realized that it doesn't have video previews like dvdshrink does. :( (I only use shrinkto5 to get the "main movie" feature. Try dvdfab's "main movie" section because it does have previews. :)

Adware to be more precise, however if you download the last 100% CLEAN version without any adware you'll need to do so from Filehippo.com at:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_shrinkto5/

Also this is the page SiteAdvisor will display when viewing info about the product website.

Anyways, rridgely had previously stated Shrinkto5 worked good for him, but for me I didn't like it because it made one hell of a mess of a DVD therefore I no longer use it.

I've always used DVDShrink just to get the "main" movie. I do this by choosing "re-author" after it does the quick analysis bit, and drag and drop main title onto left-hand side and click backup. Then I burn with Decrypter.

I do this as I hate having to sit through all the adverts and previews before you get the the movie :)

I tried it but there are 11 selections on the main menu. I only want to copy the first and maybe the second to to an avi file.

Possible?
