KAB
I received an email from security@piriform-mail stating "some of your personal information such as name and contact information has been exposed on the dark web" with a promise of "we would like to offer you BreachGuard" for monitoring. I never received a follow-up email with access to BreachGuard. How do I submit a support request that actually is read and receive and a response. Thank you
Moderators hazelnut Posted March 31 Moderators Share Posted March 31 I presume it is the same email as shown in this thread? https://www.elevenforum.com/t/piriform-ccleaner-email-about-moveit-data-leak.19178/page-2 Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators nukecad Posted March 31 Moderators Share Posted March 31 IIRC- Wasn't there a link in the original email that you had to click if you wanted to take advantage of the Breachguard offer at the time? So you'd only get any follow up if you had clicked that link. As those offer emails were originally sent out in October/November 2023 then the offer may no longer be valid? (Or have they sent out a new batch of emails without telling us?) @KAB when did you get the email? *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? KAB
Thank you nukecad and hazelnut for making time to reply. I did receive an email (fall 2023) stating my information was accessed and posted to the dark web. The solution for me would be provided in a second email giving me access to BreachGuard. The second email never came. I check email daily and check spam. Hazelnut thank you for the contact support links, unfortunately, all emails to support have yielded zero results. I will try the contact form.
Moderators nukecad Posted April 12 Moderators Share Posted April 12 You can do for yourself what Breachguard would do for you, that is check your email addreses (and passwords) periodically to see if they have been in any new breaches. It doesn't cost anything to check them here: https://haveibeenpwned.com/ https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords I check mine there about once a month, but if you want to do it more often say weekly or even daily that's your choice. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
