CCleaner not cleaning completely Edge on Windows

Hmm

Recommended Posts

Just an update. I realized what's going on.

I unticked IE for cleaning to speed up the process. I went ahead and enabled the settings for IE cleaning (there's no IE in Windows 11) and now it's cleaning fine.

But if I run analyze again, this nasty file keeps on being shown and like a Zombie, you can kill it but it keeps coming back: ---
C:\Users\MYPC\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low\SuggestedSites.dat    5,121 KB

That file is created by the operating system after ccleaner deletes it.  The new file is empty of suggested sites , when, previous to clean, it may have contained suggested sites

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Check the link in my signature below this post - it explains why some files always come back straight after cleaning, and what you can do to stop some (but not all) of it.
