CCleaner Re-Adds itself to Scheduled Tasks

Recommended Posts

Title states the issue I need a resolution to.

Whether I Delete or Disable:
Enabled  Key      Program                   Publisher                            User          File
Yes          Task    CCleanerSkipUAC    Piriform Software Ltd      psrarey     "C:\etc\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" $(Arg0)

That entry in Schedules Tasks returns (or returns to Enabled state) each time CCleaner is started.

CCleaner is configured to not start with Windows Startup nor with my login Startup.  I run CCleaner as I need to. Keeping my system "clean" from various 3rd party tools/utilities.

Please advise how I can stop CCleaner from re-enabling &/or re-adding itself to Windows Scheduled Tasks

O/S = Win10.Enterprise 21H1 Build 19043.1147
Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0

Thanks in advance!!

turn of skipuac in ccleaner's options and the task should remove

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Picture: Untick this option. Note that with that option unticked Windows will ask you for permission every time that you open CCleaner.
