Moderators hazelnut Posted April 3, 2021 Moderators Share Posted April 3, 2021 The personal data of over 500 million Facebook users has been posted online in a low-level hacking forum. The data includes phone numbers, full names, location, email address, and biographical information. Security researchers warn that the data could be used by hackers to impersonate people and commit fraud. https://www.businessinsider.com/stolen-data-of-533-million-facebook-users-leaked-online-2021-4?r=US&IR=T Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com

Moderators Andavari Posted April 6, 2021 Moderators Share Posted April 6, 2021 My mother uses it, and of course her email was compromised via the https://haveibeenpwned.com link you provided. Probably why she also gets so much spam in her Hotmail, so much it looks entirely unusable.
Moderators nukecad Posted April 8, 2021 Moderators Share Posted April 8, 2021 According to Facebook's statements they weren't 'Hacked' they were only 'Scraped'. (So that's alright then ) https://about.fb.com/news/2021/04/facts-on-news-reports-about-facebook-data/ The average user is not going to be bothered about such technical semantics/jargon - Face-ache let someone steal their email addresses and telephone numbers and other data. Some reaction:https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/facebook-attributes-533-million-users-data-leak-to-scraping-not-hacking/ Quote Not all experts happy with the response While Facebook attributes this data leak to web scraping, this usually involves collecting public information from websites. In this case, attackers used a weakness in the Facebook 'Contact Importer' feature to mass query private phone numbers and then scrape associated public information that was returned by the tool. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
