Registry question

Recommended Posts

I recently was attacked by a Trojan that was quickly identified and removed (at least I thought). I had written down the file name when Malwarebytes identified it and had gone through my computer to kill any traces of that particular file name.

Afterwards, Iater I had ran Ccleaner and was doing a registry fix when I noticed it had identified three files that were associated with the Trojan . I noted the file location(all three were in the same file location). I navigated to that file location, but it was not there. "Show hidden files" is already checked in the view.

Any ideas?

As you originally removed the trojan with Malwarebytes then I also suggest that you have their removal experts check your machine over for free.
Running Malwarebytes (or anything else)  may not be enough on it's own, some things hide deep which is why they have the free extra help service.

Start here and follow the instructions:
https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/

They will take you through it step-by-step and remove anything that the trojan left behind, and anything else that may be malicious, to make sure that your machine is totally clean.

Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? See this link:
