Brette16
Hi, as said in the title, CCleaner advises to disable these features in the "How to disable pre-launching and pre-loading so CCleaner can fully clean Edge" help page. Well I've followed the instructions and My Local Machine part does not have 'gpedit', so I tried to do it through the Registry (as indicated by CCleaner) but then I find that my Windows does not have the sequence I must find: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\Main Is it possible to do this other way? Thanks
centurion
When I run CCleaner it shows Edge sessions being skipped..I have discovered that the reason is because there is nothing there to clean...to test this ...run CCleaner..then shut it down...click on the Edge browser..and when it opens up..shut it down...run CCleaner and you will see it cleaned Edge sessions
Moderators Andavari Posted January 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2020 See this dedicated topic to remedy it with a downloadable fix:https://forum.piriform.com/topic/56335-solution-ccleaner-cannot-fully-clean-microsoft-edge-due-to-pre-loading/ Since there's already multiple topics about it I'll close this one.
