rjftmr
I mostly use only the Brave browser but it's not included in the apps list. How do I go about including it in that list so it's scanned and cleaned? Thank you.
Moderators nukecad Posted October 11, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 11, 2019 It's on a list to be included in future but I don't think it's a priority. As far as I understand Brave it does most of it's own cleaning anyway, which is the main point of using it. However I believe it is included in the community 'winapp2', or you can add it to ccleaner yourself, see this post for how to do that: *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Moderators Andavari Posted October 12, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2019 If it's a Chromium/Chrome based browser you should be able to use CustomLocation to clean it, but as stated if it already does a good job of cleaning itself then this could cause unforeseen issues, i.e.; you'd have to configure Cookies to Keep, and some addons/extensions might not like the cleaning, etc. Examples, assuming you configure CCleaner to use INI file for settings instead of the registry, or if you use CCleaner Portable: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\YourProfileName\AppData\Local\SomeChromiumBrowser\Profile CustomLocation2=CHROME|E:\Apps\SomeChromiumBrowser2\SomeChromiumBrowser2Portable\Profile Then in CCleaner it would be cleaned in: Custom Clean > Applications (tab) > Google Chrome

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. vineydhiman
Starting with CCleaner v5.66 added full cleaning support for Brave and Vivaldi browsers. It means you can independently clean browsing history for the browser just like Chrome, FIrefox and others. Moderators nukecad Posted April 30, 2020 Moderators Share Posted April 30, 2020 Why are you posting this on the CCleaner forum? We already know about it. Unless of course you were trying to spam/promote your website, in which case it hasn't worked - and don't try it again. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
