liamZ
Hi, sometimes I use ccleaner just to clean the registry, and if i put the file winapp2.ini in the ccleaner directory it takes too long to start (100% CPU for a while). I know about trim.bat to trims the entries from the full Winapp2.ini. But it would be a very good, and time saving idea to put an option to load manually the winapp2.ini or automatically. Thanks a lot for your atention and for this program. LiamZ
dvdbane
just put the winapp2.ini in the lang folder or outside ccleaner folderwhen you want to use winapp2.ini, just put it back in and press F5 on ccleanerthis will load the winapp2.ini or simply rename it then change back to winapp2.ini when you need
Moderators Andavari Posted September 11, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 11, 2014 Or ZIP it. Then delete when you don't want it, and unzip when you need it. You could also use a batch (.bat) or script file to rename it on the fly so that it isn't usable by CCleaner, i.e.; winapp2.disable
liamZ
Thanks for your answers, some of the tips I already know. And some not: Thanks for the F5 tip. The solution I use is to have 2 copies of ccleaner, one with the file winapp2.ini and the other without it. My sugestion is to put an option to load manually a winapp2.ini. You can have some custom winapp2_xx.ini files and load them when you need. And/Or an option to load or not load automatically a winapp2.ini file in ccleaner directory. Doing this, winapp2.ini developers could have the option to make customs winapp2.ini files: system, games, browsers, .... Also, in some computers, starting ccleaner with winapp2.ini can take more than 1 minute of 100% CPU usage. So I think it would be a time saver, energy saver, cpu fan saver putting those options. Moderators Nergal Posted September 11, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 11, 2014 Or trim the winapp2.ini file down to the programs you use, like one is supposed to ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
