jfh
I run Opera 12.16. CCleaner will "analyze" , for instance, 101,190 kb, and 1.220 files, but "cleaner" removes 51,427kb, and 617 files. Consistently, it will remove only about half the internet cache files. Why is this, and can I do anything tp correct it? I posted the question on the forum and tried the only suggestion made, without success.
Winapp2.ini
Make sure that there are no errant Opera processes running in Task Manager. Ccleaner can't delete files that are in use. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators Nergal Posted September 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 3, 2013 Also it may help to list your ccleaner version as well. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Winapp2.ini
Also I believe Opera is on to version 15 now - it may be worth it to consider updating winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators hazelnut Posted September 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2013 Also I believe Opera is on to version 15 now - it may be worth it to consider updating Winapp, you may find a lot of longtime Opera users aren't updating past version 12.16. The later versions of Opera (15 and 16) have no bookmarks bar/dropdown menu etc available, instead you have to use speedial which is tricky when you have loads of bookmarks. Winapp2.ini
Understandable. I've never been into opera (admittedly, I've only installed it twice ever - once was to make some winapp2 entries per an email request for v15) winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
