I am referring to all the boxes in each of these settings.

Internet Explorer

Windows Explorer

System

Advanced

I run W7 32bit.

Your help would certainly be appreciated.

There isn't a should, or a should not, it depends on what the user wants.

I should - I mean I suggest that new users start with the default and then look at the docs for the boxes that remain unchecked or show a warning when checked. Except for Advanced, which I leave almost entirely unchecked, I check more or less everything except passwords.

But you've been on the forum for two years, so you should be (I mean you are possibly) familiar with CC settings already.

Yes I am

familiar with CC settings already
but that does not mean I know exactly what they mean and do especially in the "Advanced" box.

I am having a lot of problems with "Defraggler" and I was thinking would ticking in the Advanced box help me.

The Support are just so slow in getting back to me in trying to sort it all out.

Community assistance with Defraggler is best attempted from the Defraggler forum which you posted to last year.
