garliccleaner
I have uninstalled 7-Zip and removed any traces I could find using both explorer and Ccleaners registry tool. However, under utilities Ccleaner still lists 7-zip. What can i do to make sure it's gone? Thank you
Moderators hazelnut Posted June 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 26, 2012 Check there is not a folder left in program files and also check for an entry in the registry using regedit. It would be under HKLM\software and may also be under HKCU\Software Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators Andavari Posted June 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 26, 2012 You'll find 7-Zip here in two locations: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7-Zip HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\7-Zip You can very easily get rid of both those 7-Zip references using a .REG file if you're not comfortable manually editing the registry: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7-Zip] [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\7-Zip]

Winapp2.ini
I find it amusing how many people address you as "Captain Spectacular," Andavari. Quite fitting! winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators Andavari Posted June 30, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 30, 2012 I find it amusing how many people address you as "Captain Spectacular," Andavari. It's from a Devin Townsend song. Although I'm thinking of changing it to "Biscuits & Gravy" for a good laugh when someone posts that.
