Guest Shane0500
Try to update MSE, Connection failed, error code 0x80248014 Ran command prompt system file checker with my installation disk in the D: drive to see if it would help, and it found corrupted files, and was not able to repair some. Win7 32-bit Latest Version of MSE No major changes from last update, to the error now. I have the log of system file checker, and it's extremely long, if it would help. And I do clean MSE with CCleaner.
Corona
I won't try to update it. I'll let it do it itself and see what happened tomorrow morning. Could be a glitch.
Moderators Andavari Posted August 24, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 24, 2011 You can also manually download the whole def update package: http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx
Moderators hazelnut Posted August 24, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 24, 2011 You could run the Microsoft fix it for Windows Updates errors. This also flushes the software distribution folder (when aggressive mode is used) But as Corona said it could just be a glitch. MSE wouldn't update on my win7 laptop 2 days ago but did the day after.
