Moderators Andavari Posted March 18, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2010 The grandma killed the Internet!
Ishi
Those are not all the possibilities that can kill the Internet. There are countless possibilities. One thing that I could say scientifically to put off the Internet for a long time and even cripple the modern world and its economy would be a solar storm. If the sun would have a solar storm, the type of radiation that it will emit will destroy communication satellites and basically ALL electronic devices in the world. It is harmless for humans but the opposite for electronics, imagine, no TV, no computers no cellphones, NO Internet. I love computer maintenance tasks. Some of my favorite programs: Wordpad -basic word processing Notepad - temporary clipboard and basic scripting module Windows Media Player 12- video, music and online radio player Windows Media Center - live TV, local FM radio CCleaner- handy computer maintenance tool If something fails to work after using the registry cleaner, use SYSTEM RESTORE. Moderators Andavari Posted March 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 21, 2010 Yeah a big enough solar storm could indeed cause that, and effectively knock the world back into the stone ages. With no electric guitar or PS3 I'd have to be committed to a mental institution, or create a new genre Acoustic Metal - no maybe not.

You can still use all the classic instruments that don't require electricity like pianos, drums and percussion, and acoustic guitars. You can try playing the metal songs on acoustic guitars, maybe they will still sound good. The next solar storm might happen in 2012 so better pack all you need. I love computer maintenance tasks.
