Eldmannen
I found a project on SF called Stellarium, and played around with it for a couple minutes and its really cool. Stellarium renders 3D photo-realistic skies in real time with OpenGL. It displays stars, constellations, planets, nebulas and others things like ground, landscape, atmophere, etc. http://stellarium.sourceforge.net/ It is pretty neat... f3ia
Heh, I was about to say that. I love astronomy, but of course there are so many fields to be interested in.

Mike Rochip
I'm not Eldmannen but I know the answer (for a change!): OpenGL is the vendor-neutral, multi-platform standard for high performance 2D/3D graphics on devices ranging from mobile phones to PCs to Supercomputers. The program runs on my ancient computer (made about the time our own sun was forming) so you should have no problem. It's a pretty cool program. OK, I didn't know the answer, I looked it up... that's as close as I usually get to actual knowledge.
Guest Mangix
OpenGL is a graphics library for making games. Rofl games with OpenGL run on any computer so nobody should have any problem.
Eldmannen
You just need to download it, install it, run it. You dont have to worry about OpenGL, it should work on most computers. Thanks for the correction, that it is 'astronomy'.
Moderators hazelnut Posted September 11, 2005 Moderators Share Posted September 11, 2005 Thank you gentlemen for the info. Eldmannen, I thought the amount of control you showed over the "astrology" correction was astounding! Will download now. Very interesting! Have managed to work most things out. The night sky constellations are well done. Only query I have with it, is do you think they have taken into account that strange British querk of British Daylight Saving Time? I ask as it seemed to get dark an hour earlier than it should have. (I know I could just rewind the time) Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
