Everybody that I know loves U2, yet over all the years, I have yet to hear a single song of theirs that I like. don't know why, just do not like em..........but yeah, myspace is awesome for catching music, especially from unsigned bands, some of which are really really good. :)

There are 2 U2 albums that I love and the rest I like.

Joshua Tree and Achung Baby are 2 of my favorite albums of all time by any band. However they are completely different than one another, to the point where it could have been a different band on each album. I saw them in concert and they were phenomenal, the show was cool and the music was album quality.

I've only heard one song of theirs I liked however that was back in the 1980's when they had a music video for the song. I don't remember the song, and I'd most likely hate it today since my musical tastes back in the 80's were more "flexible."

As much as I like U2 I won't be venturing to myspace.com as it is a magnet for malware purveyors to try out their latest concoction of mayhem on download junkies:

http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/myspace.com

Stick to reputable sites like Amazon.com and their site:

I realise that blocking MySpace is causing quite alot of controversy. However, as I stated here, MySpace has been and continues to be both a major source of malware, and a breeding ground for perverts. I hope you can appreciate this. If you'd like to access MySpace anyway, you are free to unblock these entries.

I've been on myspace for a few years now and never had a problem with malware from it. It's all about what you click and how you surf it....just like anything else. :) Honestly though, it is an awesome place to find new music, I have found a lot of bands there that I would never have heard of elsewhere. :)

Kenny I think rridgely is well aware of how to look after himself :)

I wasn't concerned about rridgely just ardent U2 fans.

You don't get viruses by just going to myspace and listening to the music on there.

Usually it comes from clicking on ads or links from random people that say things like "hey i have this picture you should see here". An adblocker will solve the first and having common sense(don't click links anywhere from untrusted people) will fix the second way.

Plus U2 isn't streaming it on their site from what I can tell, only on myspace. If your a fan, then your missing out because most of the songs on this album are great(a couple stinkers though).

The Myspace exclusivity is becoming more and more common. It's a bummer really with how mucked up so many of the pages are with crap all over them that even takes broadband sometimes minutes to load, a real mess. I personally can't stand Myspace one bit, but if interested in a good unsigned band that's about all there is most of the time as they're unsigned and can't always afford their own website.

A lot of big name artists are doing it to try and get people not to download before the album comes out.

U2s management apparently screwed up and offered the album early in Australia early on some retail site. It obviously spread so now they put it on myspace so people can listen without downloading.

GNR put Chinese Democracy on myspace for the same reason. This will probably become common place as almost all albums seem to leek at least a week or more before their release date.

I've always hated myspace and facebook. I would rather keep my conversations private.

When GNR had Chinese Democracy on there it would only play one song for me, doesn't matter I have the album now.

Many albums are leaked months before they're on retail shelves, which almost seems obvious that someone internally at the record label is doing it.
