Hi...

I need your opinion, who's the best :

Download Accelerator Plus 8.7 ( free )

FlashGet 2.0 ( free ),is it safe ? I read their site marked as Adware/Spyware in SITEADVISOR

Orbit Downloader

Free Download Manager

Well I've used Download Accelerator Plus 5.3.9.5 for years only because I have the serial for it, which doesn't work on WinXP, the serial that is. I've downloaded the newer version but I don't like how they work so I'm sticking with my version.

There are different free versions on FileHippo. <_<

Edit: It does work with WinXP.

A good download manager is an add-on for Mozilla Firefox called DownThemAll!, it's super easy to use too.

I like Orbit downloader.

I used to use that but sometimes it would just mess up a download thus failing, and eventually that became more annoying than useful.

Download Accelerator used to be adware, don't know if it still is though but I wouldn't touch it because of the adware history it has. Supposedly FlashGet isn't adware anymore, but again something that used to be adware in the past doesn't give any confidence in ever garnering my trust.
