CeeCee
Kind of amazing, that he survived. But i think he got a few broken bones. Edit: Typo in the title, should be survived. Path Copy TeraCopy Unlocker

YoKenny
Maybe he can sue the water for breaking his fall. I'm sure he could find a lawyer that would be willing to plunge into that The dumb things people do! Moderators rridgely Posted February 6, 2008 Moderators Share Posted February 6, 2008 I just watched a documentary about this last night.(not this guy but other people who jump off to commit suicide) Craziest thing was that one guy who was bipolar decided he wanted to jump but then once he was in the air he had time to change his mind(apparently its like a 50 second drop...) and turned over and landed feet first. He broke a few bones but managed to swim back up at least 30-40 feet after a really strong impact. He said he felt something on his legs and later they told him a seal or something had helped him. Pretty crazy.
CeeCee
(apparently its like a 50 second drop...) It's about 4 seconds. I think that you meant 5 seconds? I have seen that documentary (The Bridge) too. Path Copy TeraCopy Unlocker

Tunerz
Looks like he doesn't know the difference between a real suicide and just risking his life to dive.

CeeCee
I guess your right. I was watching this on tv at like 2AM yesterday. I was only half paying attention. But hey come on, 50 seconds... Distance to water is 220 feet (67 m). Here's some quotes from Wikipedia: After a fall of approximately four seconds jumpers hit the water at 75 miles per hour (120 km/h), which is nearly always fatal. The count exceeded 1,200 when the count ended in 2005, and new suicides were averaging one every two weeks. There were 34 bridge jump suicides in 2006 whose bodies were recovered As of 2006, only 26 people are known to have survived the jump. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Gate_Bridge#Suicides Path Copy TeraCopy Unlocker
