Came to me...
What would happen if AVG decided to combine the Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware programs? Probably a stupid Idea but just a thought. They might do that later on in the future though.
-
lol...
-
Thx... got it!

Hi, I'm wanting to use a Icon dock program like the ones I see in the Desktops Thread. I also would like to know what program to use to change the System Icons such as the My computer icon, Folder, Etc...
-
Ha, at least blue goes with the Interface...I prefer the blue over the old orange one too.

It is indeed a heart breaker just such an IMPORTANT feature to go bad at times. The anti-virus bugs/problems are a heart breaker in AVG Anti-Virus 7 because allot of people depend upon it as their sole av application. I only hope the remedy they problem but to be honest Avast isn't a saving grace in my opinion as it produces far too many false positives from my past experience with it. Avira AntiVir would be a nice replacement for both in my opinion if only they'd scale back the AntiVir Notifications "ads" for commercial Avira products to once per month because in it's current form it annoys me too much to even bother with AntiVir ever again. Or they could do the obvious as Grisoft did and just have a clickable hyperlink to upgrade to the commercial version without opening a Notification "ad".
As far as Avast! goes I see nothing wrong with it. Hasn't given me any False Positives yet.

I now hate the name but not the program. The name is cheesy and needs to be returned BACK to Ewido.
The GUI is still the same but with abit of an Improvement
I always like the new blue highlighted content buttons. I don't like Orange so I perfer blue over Orange
-
I was goin to say the same thing about the changes in the version lol. Well, to me I don't see how AVG created such a good Anti-Spyware program while the Anti-Virus program was poorly designed. That's my opinion though. From one of the Ewido team on the Wilders forum thread: "It's definitely recommended to switch to AVG Anti-Spyware... There have been many bug fixes and small improvements as well as new things like the clean driver for cleaning persistant malware."
Though having read through the Wilders thread there does seem to be one or two bugs (including no help files ATM apparently), so I will be holding off for a few days before upgrading to the new one.
I guess thats to fit in with AVGs version numbering as AVG anti-virus is currently on version 7.
AVG Anti-Virus WAS working for me until the updates started not to download and install. I use Avast! now.
-
True! The Icon needs to be changed back.Seems just like the old Ewido with some GUI changes to blue accents, and a new ugly icon.
-
lol, so you were just testing am I correct? Or were you just having some fun and wasting time?Well it was from my linux experiments no my old pc(that ended misserably with me buying a new hard drive. )
I downloaded so many installations I cant even remember them all.
Never again, never again.

lol, Mines almost the same Aaron! Only by a few KBs behide...30GB-65536KB
pretty interesting though..
-
15GB? Are you kidding me?! What all do you have stored?Much better now. It hasn't gone over 30mb now.
I guess it has a problem with lots of large iso files. I might report it but they would probably just respond with "who the heck keeps 15gbs worth of iso files."
-
It may be even 30-days but yeah that's what it did I believe.Ah, I see. Thank you.
-
So far on my Computer I got around 111,000KB and that was ONLY for a few sec. while scanning through my Doc.'s
It's not free. The new version just re-newed the Real-Time Shield and the auto updates to 15-days again. No problems here. I've just done a full scan, which took a bit longer than usuall, but apart from that everything is OK. Does this mean that the real time active guard and automatic updates are now free ?
-
Thx for that Info. I'm installing it now.
Updates to come soon!

Wow... what job do you have?just finished a 20 hour shift and have to be back at work in 5 hours for another 10 hours....put in 48 hours in last 3 days....if only i could clean my body out with ccleaner........

Are you talking about those little black/white lines that appear when you switch tabs? I noticed it on build 1.5.7 and don't know whywhen i used Maxthon, the tab bar looked a little weird. for some reason, it had those dots that usually appear on Common Controls that are not locked.
I would just like someone on here to at least try it. The skins for Maxthon 2.0.0.8042 are *Beautiful and well made. Better skins then FireFox I'd say.
-
Maxthon has released their new build of there IE based Browser. *Preview 2.0.0.8042 has been released to the public
Maxthon has also just released their 1.5.7 build. Minor Improvements were made of course. See what ya think guys.
~ Maxthon Preview Ver. 2.0.0.8042
~ Maxthon 2.0 Skins. Make sure to Extract the skins to C:\Program Files\Maxthon2\Skin.
~ Maxthon 2.0 Skins Thread (Links to some skins included in thread)
~ Maxthon 1.5.7 Skins (Just click and Install )
~ Maxthon 1.5.7 Skins. Add them as you would with Maxthon 2 but the subfolder is named Maxthon.
Note: Plug-ins work for both versions.
Plug-ins I use:
-
I have a few from the days of the Sega Dreamcast
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Crazy Taxi
House of the dead 2
Hydro Thunder
Tony Hank Pro skater 1 & 2
Just a few...

So, Ccleaner doesn't detect the currect amount of RAM. Only detects 703MB and not 704MB

Atleast mine doesn't go down that much. It's just because of where we live. Not really suppose to even have DSL.ive never lost a connection once. its worth the money for the lack of aggravation.

Has this program been free since its release other then the Beta stage? If I recall I once saw that you had to pay for it. It may have been a similar program. Just asking though. Not that I'm goin to use it though. It sucks. I tried it and didn't like it all too much.
Anyways, a new release
