Umm... I have a pair o Sony headphones and they work great. I'm going to buy some new ones though for better BASS.I own a Sandisk Sansa e250 (2GB, see Sandisk.com). It is the greatest thing in the world. MP3, WMA, and .MOV playback, it gives me 16 hours of mp3 decoding before it drops. There is on-the-fly recording, FM recording, it's about the size of a Nano (a little bit thicker), and it's durable as all getup.
The software is really easy to deal with (I strongly recommend updating the firmware).
And I have two pairs of headphones: Koss Spark Plugs are my earbuds, and I have a pair of Senheisser PMX-100s for superaural use. Both sound excellent. The Koss Spark plugs are my #1 recommendations to anyone who wants a set of earbuds without dropping 80$ for Shure e2cs!
Headphones are a great investment.
Edit: NO, DO NOT, FOR YOUR SAKE, BUY SONY HEADPHONES - THEY ARE A WASTE OF MONEY.
Read my post for headphone recommendations.
I've found my match.
The Gmini XS 100 - The only differents between the Archos 104 and the Gmini XS 100 is that the Archos has a colored LCD Screen and the Gmini XS 100 has a plain Grey/lighted screen. No differents in HDD size. Both have 4GB which will fit my needs.

That may be true but just remember Ipods aren't the only MP3 player out there...thats the only downside about ipods though.
i like how they're big and can play videos but thats about it.
you can actually add music to it without going through itunes using another program, you may also be able to turn it into a mass storage device if i remember correctly.
Some users on newegg (And not including the product I have linked) Stated their unit froze when they got it or with a week or month period they ran into problems which a lot of us ask... WHY! It scares many... many... other customers and that's why probably some go towards Ipods cause they don't have those problems. I'm not saying Ipods are the best which they're not. I just remember seeing some had that problem but that may just be them as they never EVER tell you what they did to develop the problem. Rather they dropped it, bumped it into something, etc.Where did you hear about it freezing at? I haven't seen any mentioning of that.

Might want to look into the plus vesion or the vision m.
I may look forward into Creative Lab's. I've had their sound cards and man aren't they good. I'll post back in a few. I'll look around
Found one.
Looks good. May consider it. And yes... I know update the Firmware and check once every 4 months or so
Edit: I have 7.79GB of music Is that.. a lot or what!?
-
Everyone goes to the DAMN Ipod just because of there damn advertisements. Hate it!
Right you are! Itunes is a bad... bad... program with too many Issues.Yeah but then you have to use itunes.
rridgely,
Creative Lab's ZEN-V 4*GB - Seems to be good. But I'm worried if I'll end up with problems as in hanging when switching songs, Freeze up, or low volume <<<(Not really a bad Issue)
-
I've been looking into Creative's MP3 Players and kept looking around but I saw that a few users had freeze ups. I hate an MP3 Player that was developed poorly. Why can't the developers create a Firmware to at least fix the freeze up problems for all... Mp3 Players on all known company's and yes... I MEAN PHILIPS!
I may look into Creative Lab's little pocket Mp3 Player but I'm on my eye with Archos new design. My step brother has one and it seems nice and hasn't locked up. Their Firmware seems to have Improved a lot of stuff that they missed once released. Just some minor Improvements though like... a layout redone in some menus.
Archos is new and I'm looking forward in staying with them. I'll probably E-Mail them and give them feed back on what needs to be Improved. A lot that would be to the Frame rate. It can hang for half-second while switching songs or menus. Not a big deal though. The bass controls on the player is NICE! Just the right headphones would be awesome

Christmas is coming soon and I wondered if anyone is willing to buy a new MP3 Player? Well, I am cause my HDD stopped working in the darn thing in the MONTH of June!. I was upset. It was a Philips 2*GB Micro Juke Box. It hanged and froze alot so yeah... needed a replacement. I've searched and have finally found what I'm look for!

Opera?
in The Lounge
I was meaning in the terms of if the connection gets losts then there should be a option to reload the images. Maxthon has a plug-in named *Force Pictures* and that reloads iamges that didn't load correctly.Load missing images makes no sense. if the image doesn't exist, then there is no way to load it.
as for spell check, Opera already has it...
Opera does have a spell check but it's not built-in. Get it straight.

Opera?

rridgely,
Correct me if I'm wrong here but I have used the lastest Beta ver. myself and every other ver. Opera seems to load about every single Image or data file within a page and it doesn't let me scroll down within the page UNTIL the page is about 98% done. Have you had this happen or... HAS IT been happening to you?
Plus yes... Spell check would be nice. They should also consider an option into ~Load missing Images~

Welcome back. I've heard blood clots hurt. I hope I never get one...
-
I had CPU and Memory Usage problems when I tried it out. I was disappointed in the release and I should of figured that out. I'm on FireFox and man.. I love it. To me I wouldn't recommend it until further notice.I just checked and there wasn't any updates.(for me anyway)
I know they just released .net 3 so I'll probably grab that later tonight.
As for IE7 I would say go ahead and update and see what you think. I've been using it since it went final and its been ok. Put it on 3 different computers and it didn't cause problems on any of them. Of course if you don't like it you can always uninstall it and go back to IE6.(it uninstalls from the control panel like any other program)
Of course... theres always firefox.

I found No-Script" to mess pages up cause it would block ALOT of Images and crap.
-
I hope not cause most computers that people own can't even come close to running it.WinXP SP3 to be canceled
Seems the most likely to me. They will want everyone to switch to vista
P.S. - Lets hope Microsoft doesn't make us install IE7
-
I pretty much knew all of that but I was just saying they're not doing too good in developing good programs though. Not necessarily, they acquired RAV antivirus technology a few years back and did nothing with it that could be seen publically, yet I have no ideal if their protection suite is based upon it or not.
They aren't just OS makers they are a software and hardware firm. Personally I'd never use another brand keyboard or mouse, that's how good I think those two hardware items of theirs is.
-
Have you even checked the site for any Software? My MP3 player from Philips worked like a charm with Winamp or.. WMP.
-
Aaron,
You have to realize that most MP3 players do however make a playlist but not in terms of what you are wanting. Does your MP3 player make a playlist out of folders as in goin by order of Artist?
I had an MP3 plyer and yes the HDD in it finally gave out and now I'm back to using a CD/MP3 support CD player but mine did create a playlist goin by Artist and the type of music. Some are just programmed different.
I even wanted my songs formed in a certain way but could I... NO!
P.S. - Don't ever just drag and drop any songs in the file to where the songs are kept. That can easily mess things up. Use WMP10. Try using Winamp if WMP10 gives problems.
-
Aaron,
What company is your MP3 player build by? Plus+ what model is it?
-
Doesn't Microsft realize they should just stick with the OS's and leave the Spyware and virus programs to the leading companys such as AVG, Avast, SUPERAnti-Spyware, Lavasoft, Spyware Terminator, Arovax , Etc.
Microsoft did good but now with the Spyware and virus program development, They're making a wrong turn.
-
I think the ones WITHOUT a switch were designed alittle different as in shutting down. I think the Hard Drive is aware of itself and telling it not to mess up lol
-
Been messin around with it and noticed the Full-Scan only took around 10min. which had me somewhat worried. I have the lastest and I think they're cleaning their act up alittle. I'd say go for it and try it out.
-
I'd have to agree with you. I too loved it when it was still known is MS Anti-Spyware but when things changed it became crap to me. Didn't feel tha same ya know?I loved the program when it was still called antispyware. It was like getting a commercial program for free and it did a fantastic job, but like all the program MS buys and offers for free, they rip out its spine.
-
It's no dumb question. Hmm... you could try to search on Google or Newegg.com and try to find a case that can fit your Hard Drive.
-
Ha, I tested the program awhile back and somewhat wasn't safe here. I can't trust Microsoft in the spyware program development. They should just stick to OS.
-
Hmm... your wanting to Remove the drive and replace the case itself? i don't even think that is possible considering it's External.
I could be wrong cause I've never touched a External Drive before other then a CD/RW drive.
Do you have a problem when unplugging the drive? Like.. are you afraid that the drive will for some reason crash or something?
-
I meant only some don't work. Omega drivers are great indeed though.By today's standards, I would say you're probably a 7-ish to 8. Then again it's pretty good because it's a laptop; by desktop standards its lower, obviously.
My PNY 5200 works fine with all nVidia drivers.
Side note - Omega Drivers are great, but make sure you know what you're doing before you go ahead and install them.

and they have great over all volume. I don't see anything wrong with Sony and their headphones.
