    I did that years ago via the telephone and the customer support rep kept trying to sell it to me over and over of why I didn't want to cancel - until I became an a**hole on the phone and only then did he comply. At least I don't get those damned free unsolicated AOL CDs in the mailbox anymore which I used to use for coasters that I'd place a glass of water on.

     

    lol, A Radio Station months back had something similar to that and it was funny...

    Ok, so I go on BetaNews.com and found this App. which I am goin to try out. To those who want too ask why bother? Well, I seem to be attached to AOL cause I've used their Service for Dail-up and DSL. Call me stupid or whatever but I'm trying it lol.

    I haven't tried vista yet but since your running it I'll ask you. :P

    Does it have like a windows xp/classic mode? Where all the menus are more link the old windows versions?(classic theme ect) If everything is going to be like IE7 or the new office then I will not be upgrading anytime soon. I just hate the layout so much.

    you must just suck at myspace cuz i havent had ANY problems except for when that power outage happened in LA and stuff like that.

    maybe its just the area your in..

    I was running IA 6.0 (for Win ME) on my PC...

     

    Heard some good things about FireFox... BUT never tried it..

     

    LOL, .. i just went and downloaded and installed, BOTH - FireFox and this Maxthon that you mentioned.. and they are both pretty Good actually :)

     

    I like 'em..

     

    Browsing currently with FireFox..

    Maxthon installed me some WeatherBug thingy.. i actually don't mind it :)

     

    IE is still my default one ... for now anyhow

     

    Get rid the Weather plug-In. Its useless. You can remove plug-Ins by goin to: C:\Program Files\Maxthon\Plugin

     

    I recommend this plug-In though. Its named *Force Pictures The plug-In will force Images to load that have failed to load.

    Some of these programs have some "Real-time protection" thingy.. (or something like that)

     

    Would you people recommend enabling it?

     

    Or just run your PC without enabling this.. and from time to time just scan it for adware, malware, etc?

     

    I use what's in my Sig. I highly Recommend Maxthon though. I think its better then FireFox and even Opera in my opinion.

    I ran BitDefender's scan and it removed like... 4 viruses. I can't quite remember. I ran Ewido, Lavasoft and Spybot. I find Spybot to not help much cause I don't believe it removes what it list.

     

    But I will see what I can do. I want to reformatt the dang HDD but they won't let me.

    Save the logs and post them for me. It may need to be scanned in safe mode(I have no clue since I don't know what the infections its finding are).

    While your over there run ewido and kaspersky online and then save logs. Then post them both in your hjt topic.

     

    Will do. Funny though. I have all the Ad-blockers enabled on Maxthon on their computer and yet pop-up Ad's still come up. Their computer must have some viruses or... something because Maxthon has the best pop-up/Ad blocker that I know of.

    I think Ewido has some... problems removing some Spyware Don't you think?

     

    *Off-Topic... Upon my Hijack post can you give me the low down on what's really on there that is causing the pop-ups? Please... I'm heading over there tomorrow and I want their computer fixed tomorrow. Post in my Hijack Thread

    Forgot to mention that its scanner is kind of funky. It will list a lot of stuff thats not spyware in another tab. No its not false positives it just lists everything that starts up with you computer in it. Strange but I guess if you like it...

    Yeah, I'm not saying everyone should all switch to this, I'm just letting everyone know it exists. :D

    A-Squared is not one of my favorites though, its pretty bad about false positives.

     

    In my opinion and my months of using *A-Squared I have had no problems. Yeah... I can see people wanting to try the program out but I wouldn't recommend it though.

    I don't care... what the people say on there reviews. I'm sticking with Ewido, Spybot, ad-ware and A-Squared :)

     

    Edit: I tried that program and it gave out a few... bad sections that DIDN'T need to be deleted.

    I have one. I see why some people hate it though. I once hated it. It maybe having problems now but hopefully they will get fixed.

     

    Myspace is just bein slow right now.

     

    Some members can't send or recieve messages. Some can't even view their own profile and some can't log-In.
