  1. to shorten the time taken for cc to complete, you need to disable "Wipe Free Space" option

Cleaner section > Windows > Advanced > remove the tick for "Wipe Free Space"

    info about Wipe Free Space

    https://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/using-ccleaner/wiping-free-disk-space

Stopping Wipe Free Space before it ends can cause it to leave a huge file on the hard disk

  3. Isee - thank you.  That looks like something I will have to read.

I did see something interesting in the beginning of the article, something about cleaning Adobe Image Ready.  I remember back when I first bought Adobe Photoshop I realized that it kept records of everything it viewed.  Again, not a great idea for confidential files.  I did go on the Adobe forums for a while but no one seemed to be able to say how to erase tracks of images Photoshop had opened.

In any case reading and using the article you referenced looks like a whole day affair for someone with my limited experience.  I will have to find a day!

  9. The only thing I can think of with it not using 100% of every filter is perhaps another filter already blocks a bad site so no need to duplicate it.

One thing I didn't care for was it actually downloads all of the filters rather you use them or not, and stores them on the hard disk.

    1. Correct

    2. this is changelog for uBlock Origin v1.1.0 stable. currently at v1.1.1 stable

All non-default 3rd-party filter lists are no longer part of the package

The only 3rd-party filter lists which are part of the package are the ones which are selected by default in uBlock:

    • EasyList
    • EasyPrivacy
    • Peter Lowe’s Ad server list‎
    • Malware Domain List‎
    • Malware domains‎

  13. for browser entries, the solution for Firefox Logs and Chrome Logs

    Firefox Logs >> Firefox Logs

    Chrome Logs >> Logs

same can be apply for this problem because it is the same problem as browser entries

you can either keep the name or delete from one of the entry

sorry for the confusion, really not good at expressing my thought

  14. Again, that doesn't add only the urlclassifier3.sqlite and the webappstore.sqlite to the list.  I have to add hundreds of other entries to the list that I don't want to.  It either adds all or nothing to it.

I don't want to clean all those system files using a portable version of CCleaner.  I only want to clean those two sqlite browser files that are located on my USB drive.

are you sure you read the instruction correctly?
