  1. i don't quite understand your problem but i guess, you cannot select drive C:\ or windows partition, is it?

    to wipe the disk completely,you need to attach the hard disk to another computer

    or you can use windows installation disk to wipe the partition completely

  2. Sorry guys, I forgot some of the locations/entries I added and modified but from memory search acmru, all shellbags, fortres, muicache, windows related entries. there is a great tool called http://www.diffchecker.com/

    and do not remove [MS Search More*] and [Windows Search Cache*] these entries are very useful.

    and please add Windows Remote Desktop logs, cache etc remover AND Microsoft Security Essentials logs, caches entries! I've noticed almost no entries for this! please search for these locations masters!

    dude,of course we know how to compare thing even can do with only notepad

    just that winapp2.ini got many other thing to do other than looking for custom entries made by others

    what we need to do is to make it easy for him to update and also let others see the entries so we can discuss whether to include or not the entries

    sorry, no offence

    i can confirm that [Windows Search Cache*] locked in normal and safe mode even with windows search disabled

    need to be remove

  3. @vBender

    why don't you just paste here all the new and modified entries like everyone else instead of giving the whole file?

    it is easier to view and discuss the entries whether to include or not in the "official" winapp2.ini

  4. is there any entries in winapp2.ini that change how we view the screen?

    i mean, the font look smaller after i run ccleaner+winapp2.ini with another cleaning software esp at Start Menu

    the font size currently at 100% which is default setting

    i just want to make sure that there is no entry in winapp2.ini that can do that

  5. Last, if a keylogger is found is it possible to establish the identity of the installer?

    probably not possible

    usually the installer will be downloaded into temp directory which will be deleted after executing the install to cover their traces

  6. Indeed, it is the driver installation files, not the driver files themselves. The winapp2 nvidia entry makes uninstalling the drivers impossible without a reinstall first, hope this new CCleaner entry doesn't also do this, at least not without warning (it only cleans one of the winapp2 entries locations though so this may not be an issue)

    winapp2.ini

    [Nvidia Graphics Driver Installation Files*]

    LangSecRef=3023

    Detect=HKCU\Software\NVIDIA Corporation

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%SystemDrive%\Nvidia|*.*|REMOVESELF

    winapp.ini

    [NVIDIA]

    ID=2357

    LangSecRef=3024

    Detect=HKCU\Software\NVIDIA Corporation

    Default=True

    FileKey1=%SystemDrive%\NVIDIA|*.*|REMOVESELF

    FileKey2=%SystemDrive%\NV|*.*|REMOVESELF

    i don't think the result/effect would be different

  7. Have been usingCC for years and never noticed that! I was referring to Applications>Windows>Windows Backup (18 up from the bottom. At least with "enhancer" installed). What does it remove? One of my three imaging applications is W7's. Of course the image is stored on a different drive. Would CC be removing the archive referrence? Thank you!

    [Windows Backup*]

    LangSecRef=3025

    Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%WinDir%\Logs\WindowsBackup|*.etl

    its only delete windows backup logs....i don't use windows backup so i don't have the logs

    might need someone who use windows backup to confirm whether the entry is safe to delete or not

    i guess, it is safe to delete the log because there is no warning included in the entry

    usually if the entry is not safe, they will include a warning
