After reinstall CC looks like the problem is solved. I would like to take this opportunity for put another question; it is clear to me as the browser monitoring works, I do not fully understand instead, to figure out how application minitoring works. When did CC trigger for cleaning?

better upgrade your cc to latest version which is v5.13
then try again
-
try
untick "Install Google Chrome as my default browser"
or
portable version
or
wait for slim version (no chrome offer)
-
which "history" ??
browser?run?additional info

There is a difference between %AppData%\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache and Documents and Settings\zak\Application Data\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache. I think we should add Win XP location in that entry.
%AppData%
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data
- Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming
the entry is ok
no need to remove FileKey3
-
Revised Entry
Removed because this path never existed in any Windows: FileKey3=%AppData%\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache|*.*|RECURSE
[Cached Certification Files*]
LangSecRef=3025
Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalLowAppData%\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache\Content|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey2=%LocalLowAppData%\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache\MetaData|*.*|RECURSE

I stopped using Adblock Plus a few months ago when I discovered uBlock Origin.
EasyList and EasyPrivacy last auto updated 15 Dec.
Updates take about 20 seconds (at my pathethic web speeds).
Haven't noticed any issues with Fanboy subscriptions nor any slugginess with FF.
click EasyList in uBlock
does it show 16 Dec list?
-
try open and close all browser so the automatic cleaning can run first
open ccleaner > option > cookies > click any remaining cookies
you should see browser icon at the bottom of the list
which browser cookies still remain?

New Rule:
[Privacy Badger*] LangSecRef=3026 SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA Default=False Warning=This will remove all filter settings. FileKey1=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\jetpack\jid1-MnnxcxisBPnSXQ-eff@jetpack\simple-storage|store.json
Privacy Badger saves all visited domains in that file and is thereby ironically a privacy threat itself.
maybe need to change the warning to This will remove all settings or Reset to default
removing store.json not only delete custom filter setting but all setting including "Whitelisted Domains" and "Other Settings"
imo, removing store.json will make PB useless
you need to start over again to create new db and custom filter setting for website that doesn't load properly with PB enable
-
And please don't recommend anything from Fanboy as those subscriptions cause nothing but problems on many websites.
i don't think they release separate list anymore
try Fanboy's mirror link for EasyList at Fanboy's site
my uBlock show no update but from fanboy's mirror, the list actually had been updated to 16 Dec

you should use whatever you need either less or more than default
this will help you to decide

you should post this in winapp2 thread, not here
if both entries cause problem in win 10, prefer add DetectOS instead of removing it

The following is just my opinion:
I continue to feel that all these cleaning modules should not be removed from Winapp2.ini. Most of them have been present in Winapp2.ini for years. The user base of Winapp2.ini who utilize them (one or many of them) is accustomed to them doing their cleaning work. I suspect that most of the users will be unaware that these cleaner modules have suddenly disappeared...that is, unless the read the monthly release notes...which many users probably do not.
i think it would be better if we remove the entries from winapp2.ini and put it in another file for NSFW entries which include entries like Nvidia Installer2 and Language cleanup entries
its up to user if they want to add it or not
for me, i think winapp2.ini(user) already done that in form of changes.txt and changes_old3.txt
if they come here looking for the entries, we can just point to them where to find it
i think this will help to decrease people come here reporting problems with cc, for those who use Voldemort to download winapp2.ini

there no need to delete/winapp2.ini the file
CC already handle it by removing its content only, not the txt file
after cleaning with CC, try open the file

Can anybody help me sort out a recurring problem I have with Firefox. Since the arrival of, I think it was Firefox 39 or Firefox 40, I am constantly getting a a script error on numerous websites which refers to a problem with Shockwave.
try uninstall/disable shockwave player
for me, it's useless unless you're playing online games
For flash player, try disable hardware acceleration and protected mode

In order to use ccleaner to its full strength, you need to update to v5
i could be wrong but ff improvement equal to ff-based improvement which include seamonkey
or you can use winapp2.ini or create your own cleaning rule through winapp2.ini
v5.11.5408 (26 Oct 2015)
- Improve Firefox 41 cleaning.
v5.10.5373 (24 Sep 2015)
- Improved Firefox session cleaning.
v5.06.5219 (26 May 2015)
- Improved Firefox session cleaning.
v5.03.5128 (24 Feb 2015)
- Improved Firefox and Google Chrome session cleaning.
v5.01.5075 (18 Dec 2014)
- Improved Firefox 34 cleaning. -
As a neophyte Chrome user, I am wondering why FileKey1 should not be changed to FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome*\User Data\*\File System|*.*|RECURSE to clean out this entire folder. From what I read via a "Chrome HTML5 Storage" search, it appears safe/proper to fully clean out this "File System" folder.
I yield to users who have Chrome experience and knowledge.
prefer FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome*\User Data\*\File System\*|*.*|REMOVESELF
so that you won't have many empty folder inside File System eventhough it will be use again by chrome
all folder will be recreated again starting with Origin and 000 folder

try Options > Advanced > un-tick "Hide warning messages"
-
if you sure that you don't need "Office 2013" cleaning, then you need to delete this key
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common
if you don't know how to handle registry editing, just leave the entry un-tick
