  1. Find 2 attached. EDIT-- Done with Irfanview I assumed you wanted the gif smaller
  2. Here is the Microsoft page on it-- http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/MS06-021.mspx I'm not going to worry about it. I'll get the next security update when it is released.
  3. EDIT-- It was nagware & I removed the link.
  4. Here is a link to my post today in another forum EDIT-- I didn't feel like writing it all out again...
  5. "My reason for this is the weather. I live in a very rural area, no cities to speak of within 50 miles. Use the Weather Station Radar from the cities to the West of here. I can tract a storm with the link very well,..." I think you need Java, not Flash to use looping of radar like at the NOAA weather site. See picture-- http://i5.tinypic.com/143gsk8.jpg Microsoft also has lost a lawsuit. You may hover the cursor on a Flash & see a massage saying to click to activate & use this control. If your radar uses Flash, you just click on it for it to start working. I assume you went to Microsoft Update & downloaded the updates after you reinstalled Windows? If so you probably got the update that makes one have to activate Flash to use it. This update also affects Java among other things. EDIT-- Read this link at Adobe-- http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/ I installed a patch to override the update, but I think on this coming Tuesday Microsoft is going to release a bunch of updates, one of which will cancel out the patch that overrides the "click here to activate & use this control" update. If so,I am going to go to Microsoft Update & try not to download that update if possible. Having to click on Flash or Java to get it to work is annoying.
  6. Here is a link I found that might help. It points to a registry tweak at Kellys Korner-- http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-519690.php Here is a direct download link to the reg file-- http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits...ssamewindow.reg As you probably know, changing the registry can cause problems. Use this at your own risk. I have used some vbs & reg files from Kellys before without any problems. EDIT--- I just tried the tweak & it did not work. Folder contents still opened in a new window. I use xp home. Maybe xp pro acts differently. I restored my registry to the way it was. See a picture-- http://i5.tinypic.com/143eqyu.jpg If I don't want a new window I just click on a folder or what it contains in the left frame & it opens in the right frame. If one did get all the folders to open in the same window one would need to click the Back button to return to something else. With the menu on the left, one just clicks on something to see it appear in the right frame without losing the menu on the left, which can be easily navigated.
  7. I see. I never double click to open. I right click & choose Open. See the next picture-- http://i5.tinypic.com/141i14h.jpg
  8. It seems you set winamp as default instead of "find". This picture may help-- http://i5.tinypic.com/1409kxw.jpg
  9. I'm not sure what you meant by,"If i press the X on the guidlines". Maybe this picture will help-- http://i6.tinypic.com/1267ins.jpg Maybe it won't.

  16. Well,I searched through a few Microsoft sites & filled out a suggestion form for feedback on Microsoft products. I got a reply. The return address said,"Microsoft Contact Us". The email address is msconus@microsoft.com They said they take suggestions seriously & if I had more suggestions, to send them. I think everybody should start sending suggestions. Lots of suggestions...
  17. Shared .dll files & one Service being connected to something else so that if you disable a Service, something else quits working. Back in the days when space was at a premium, sharing files between programs saved space. Today computers have Gigabytes of space. I would like to see stand-alone Windows applications. Each with its own uninstaller. I use lots of stand-alone downloaded programs. If I don't like them,I uninstall them. Each contains its own .dlls & .exes, whatever is needed. I think Microsoft should lean in this direction in the near future. It would make a lot of people happy.
  18. See Screen Shot of Forgotten Password Wizard This deals with security so I posted it here.
  19. Well,I installed THIS PROGRAM and it shows all the hotfixes are still installed. Click here to see screenshot of hotfixes found by the program I installed 2 new hotfixes Friday,March 3. They show up in Add/Remove window. Click here to see the new hotfixes in Add/Remove window Yes,it seems there is a bug in CCleaner.
  20. I was just wondering since the hotfixes did not show up in the Add/Remove Programs Window anymore. Before I used the hotfix uninstaller remover the hotfixes appeared there. It is good to know I still have them. The uninstallers were 394 MBs. I don't intend to uninstall the hot fixes. That is why I got rid of the hotfix uninstallers. There should be a help file telling people that the hotfixes will no longer appear in the Add/Remove window, but they are still installed,so as not to worry people.
  21. My first post about this seems to have disappeared. So I am posting it again this time with a picture--- What happened to my hotfixes? Are they gone???
