    New question

The uninstallers for the updates were removed. All the updates are still on the computer.
  3. Perhaps a Google search for "public domain music".
  4. You need an icon extractor-- http://www.dirfile.com/freeware/extract-icons.htm Or if you copy your IEXPLORE.EXE & zip it up & email it to me I can extract the icons for you. The xp IE6 version is about 95 KBs. EDIT- I just checked my attachments to posts & it seems you could attach the .zip to a post for downloading. I attached 2 IE icon resource files & one icon extracted from a.ico resource file. Just in case anyone wants some IE6 icons. New_Folder.zip New_Folder.zip
  5. I've read this thread & don't understand just what the problem is. Do you have the WGA installed? You can validate your Windows HERE
  6. That was just a tiny flash I was playing with. You should open the flash 8 program & see if there is an option to Open an .swf file. It might have that option. If so,browse to where you have it stored & choose it.
  7. I made one- It is attached. Here is the Object code-- <!-- Created with CoffeeCup Firestarter http://www.coffeecup.com --><OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash2/cabs/swflash.cab#version=4,0,0,0" ID=Untitled WIDTH=400 HEIGHT=200><PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="Untitled.swf"><PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high><PARAM NAME=loop VALUE=false><EMBED src="Untitled.swf" loop=false quality=high WIDTH=400 HEIGHT=200 TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></EMBED></OBJECT> It may or may not work with Flash 8. It was made with Firestarter. I had to zip it to attach it. EDIT- If you just open it it will loop. Right click it & uncheck "Loop". If you put the Object code in an html document (with the .swf file in the same folder) it will display as intended. Untitled_1_.zip Untitled_1_.zip
  8. Choose autohide & keep on top of windows in Taskbar Properties.
  9. Long ago in the land of DOS & Windows 3.whatever,computers had such limited memory,it was decreed that file names should consist of 8 characters to the left of the DOT & 3 characters to the right of the DOT. That has changed. Now file names can be bigger. It is just a legacy from the past.
  10. One has an L. One has no L. It goes back to the 8/3 file names. Either will work. Some site providers like Angelfire require your home page to use .html.

    Uninstalling IE7

Maybe install it again? Then try uninstalling.
  13. The link I found made my brain hurt. Yours works good. Nice find. It is freeware too. See a picture-- http://i3.tinypic.com/16bhl5x.jpg
