When you open ccleaner on the top left hand corner it displays some details about your PC. I have a dual processor PC, but ccleaner only says I have one processor

rofl...you can't really determine which anti-virus is the best since none can detect everything. You should use one the ones mentioned in the list and then just use online scanners as a precaution.

I remember using that and it did nothing to improve performace of my PC.

Please do not patronise me, I have not come here to address other software I use, but a possible bug in ccleaner. I am fully aware they are beta programmes, but it still takes longer for me to scan without them running.

Well, when I was using windows media player 11 and IE 7, I downloaded and sinstalled cclaner (a new version). The scan for issues crashed for a while twice and took very long to scan. (about 2-3 mins) Bug, or just my PC?

Anyone tried it yet? I think it has a brilliant user-interface but I personally cannot see any new features...

I agree with people that you should read what your installing, but yahoo toolbar brings more problems then it solves. I personally think it shouldn't be there either.

malware is now becoming a major problem simply because many users don't know what it is or how to stop it. And in reality its fairly easy to stop and prevent.

No, I only trust CCleaner. Other products I have used dealing with the registry, have always fhked my PC up badly. CCleaner IS THE BEST! it is the only registry programme that I have never had any problems with. I hope MrG doesn't try to make newer versions with all these new features etc. I just want a nice simply programme that works.
