  2. Welcome shodan. you may wish to PM MrG and ask him, he's the one you want to talk to
  3. Have you tried it again? You may need to try installing it while in Safe Mode.
  4. Been using it and it's pretty nice!
  5. All is says is i have entered in the wrong username or password. I go to the help file, click "change my password". It takes me to a site, I log in with my existing account and can change my password. Yes, im using Windows Messenger..
  6. Wow, that really wasnt of much help.. I dont have a hotmail account, im not sure how i got it set up but i sign on with "neighberaaron@yahoo.com". It wasn't there so im guessing thats not the problem.. thanks cap and krit for trying, im still puzzled though and im really wanting to get my contacts back..
  7. I've been using it for a bit now and recently it wont let me log in. I can go to sites that use a microsoft.net account i think it is and i can change my password and everything but i cant log in to IM! Any suggestions?
  8. could this be updated and pinned? i didnt even know it existed!
  9. ok, why arent my passwords getting erased then? i have nearly everything checked off in ccleaner except for a couple things under advance.
  10. Now that I've looked, a few others are having problems also. The last thing I can suggest is reboot after you install the update. If that doesn't work, you can try going into Safe Mode.
  11. Welcome to the forums You could add it to the startup list in the registry, you would add, "C:\program files\Ccleaner\ccleaner.exe" /AUTO with the quotes, or you could also add it to the startup folder. To add it to the startup, go into notepad and copy/paste this in there. "C:\program files\Ccleaner\ccleaner.exe" /AUTO Keep the quotes in there! Save it as anything.bat To run it for certain users, save it to C:\documents and settings\"that user"\start>programs>startup If you want it to run for all users, save it to C:\documents and settings\all users\start\programs\startup. Hope this answers your question (I've heard its not good to do this because sometimes files are stored in temp folders to install something and it may ask them to reboot but their files would be gone then, resulting in a problem.)
  12. Thats what i was thinking! I could see it causing more problems than it solves..
  13. for now, id set it up as an access page to other websites and maybe put some of your websites and such on there. that way, you can give people that website and they can see what you suggest/use -aaron
  14. Ccleaner currently only works on the hard drive you have windows installed on and booted up to. (this is usually C drive) usually theres nothing that needs to be cleaned on the other drives but im not sure how you have it set up. Ccleaner only runs on the user account that its running on. if another administrator runs it on their profile, it will clean just as it normally does. i think it's dangerous because, if you want to delete windows logs in the windows folder and you add the windows folder to the custom clean list, it will wipe that whole folder right out. if you used winapp2.ini to set restrictions on certain files such as (.txt), it will delete all the folders/files ending in .txt and some of those may be needed. any more questions, feel free to reply -aaron
  15. im guessing my way is an alternative way because its working!
  16. Ive found some proxy lists already but i put them in FF and they dont work How do i know which ones are ftp, http, ect..? Also, what does the port number mean? Is that anything of significance? also, i keep getting this error message, "You are trying to use a node of the CoDeeN CDN Network. Your IP address is not recognized as a valid PlanetLab address, so your access to CoDeeN does not include all HTTP types" i think my main problem is finding proxies that work... ive finally found one that works so i guess its not just me. are there any good anonomous lists that are, for the most part, guaranteed to work?
  17. I thought I'd try to set it up so i could browse anonomously, i tried with IE and FF and im not getting anywhere fast. Can anyone explain this? theres sockets, http, ftp proxies...
  18. isnt it the same as going to control panel>user accounts>change the way users log on or off?
  19. OMFG, what a mess! Don't trip in there I like the sign, "do not touch any of these wires"! That cracks me up!
  20. What was the name of the domain? It may give us some ideas
  21. in firefox, go to tools>options>privacy>passwords>settings and uncheck "saved passwords". it will still delete everything else as it normally does. it is also okay to use ccleaner every day but i think it only needs to be run about once a week hope this answers your questions!
  22. Welcome to the forums john I wouldn't recommend doing it but it can be done for the majority of the files. The easiest way would be to add custom folders but again, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT! In a couple of months, a Ccleaner v 2.0 will be released, re-designed from the ground up! Hopefully this will allow cleaning multiple profiles but I can't say for sure..
  23. Welcome to the forums I think the easiest way would be to go to the folder and find the uninstaller. For example, if you deleted the uninstaller entry for ccleaner, go to C:\program files\ccleaner\uninstall.exe or something like that. That's usually where it's stored
